I hope you are all well.
Around here, summer is at its peak, relentless sunny days and a lot of heat.
Luckily, Saturday I had the chance to embark on a trip to Barra de Ibiraquera, about 70 km south of my home.
It is an extensive beach of white sand that communicates through a channel with the Ibiraquera lagoon.
The options are many.
Those who enjoy sports seek out the place because of the strong winds, ideal for kitesurfing and windsurfing. On the other hand, the calm waters of the lagoon favor the practice of stand up paddle and windsurfing, as well as being attractive for families and children.
When I arrived at the beach, (around 11 am) as expected, the sun in the middle of the sky did not provide the best light to photograph.
So I decided to make use of that light anyway, exploring the intensity of sunlight and the reflections on the white sand, and taking pictures with a lot of contrast.
Of course, I continued shooting until it was time to return in mid-afternoon. The idea was to wait until sunset, but the clouds of a summer storm thwarted my plans.
Anyway, I leave you today with some of the images taken that day.

Espero que estejam todos bem.
Por aqui o verão se encontra no seu ponto máximo, dias de sol implacável e muito calor.
Por sorte, sábado tive a chance de embarcar numa viagem até a Barra de Ibiraquera, a uns 70 km ao sul de minha casa.
É uma praia extensa de areias brancas que se comunica por meio de um canal com a lagoa de Ibiraquera.
As opções são muitas.
Os que gostam de esportes procuram o local por causa dos fortes ventos, ideais para prática de kitesurfe e windsurfe. Por outro lado, as águas calmas da lagoa favorecem a prática de stand up paddle e windsurf, assim como também é atrativo para as famílias e crianças.
Na hora que cheguei na praia,( por volta das 11hs) como era de esperar o sol no meio do céu não proporcionava a melhor luz para fotografar.
Decidi então fazer uso dessa luz mesmo assim, explorando a intensidade da luz do sol e os reflexos na areia branca, e fazer fotos com muito contraste.
É claro que continuei fotografando até a hora de voltar no meio da tarde. A ideia era esperar até o pôr do sol, mas as nuvens de uma tormenta de verão frustraram os meus planos.
