Finding a Pink Old Man Ain't Easy [PhotoChain Challenge - 71th Edition]

Good afternoon, friends!

Here is my entry for the PhotoChain Challenge - 71th Edition hosted by @davidesimoncini. The keywords for this week are Pink and Old Man, picked by the previous winners of the challenge: @ainie.kashif and myself.

(My personal keyword is... Art.)

What a daunting task, to find a Pink Old Man... (or an Old Man with something Pink in the same photo.) I sure wasn't counting on participating on the contest this week, with such a difficult theme... but a stroke of luck has come my way. I was walking around the beach today and I found out this piece of art, which was installed very recently, just 10 days ago.

This artwork was entirely built using trash found at the local beaches. Yep, that's right... they put the trash to good use, to raise awareness so that people take better care of their environment.

This artwork was located at a place called Largo dos Pescadores, which translates to something like "The Fishermen's Plaza". And it is exactly that... a plaza for the fishermen. All those little huts you see are used by the local fishermen to store their material.

I approached the sculpture so that I could take a closer shot. Below you can see a little better the materials used in its development. I find it incredible how they managed to make the eyes look so real. Amazing work. 😎

As you can see in one of the messages above, Tio Rão, the name of the sculpture... was also the name of a local fisherman, who died of old age on January last year. Here he is below, on a photo I found on a page about local news of the village.

Here you have a wider view of the Fishermen's Plaza... There's also a little playground for the kids, some of whom will become the fishermen of the future...

And... where is fish, you can also find... cats!!! Here is one of them, resting... while she awaits for some fish. Yes, it's a little cat girl, I saw her titties. Ihihiih! 😽
