Ecobici is the name of Mexico City's bike-sharing program. For the equivalent of about €15 per week, you can rent a bike from almost any street corner and explore the city. Instead of using the system myself, I tried to photograph the bikes. I used my 85mm portrait lens, which produces a very creamy bokeh with its F1.8 open aperture. Street photography is usually not my thing, but every now and then I step out of my comfort zone photographically. This time I was quite happy with the results. Hope you like them too!
Ecobici ist der Name des Bike-sharing-Programms von Mexiko City. für umgerechnet ca. 15€ pro Woche kann man sich die Leihräder an so gut wie jeder Straßenecke ausborgen und damit die Stadt erkunden. Anstatt das System selbst zu nutzen, habe ich versucht, die Fahrräder fotografisch in Szene zu setzen. Ich verwendete dazu mein 85mm Porträt-Objektiv, das mit seiner Offenblende von F1.8 ein sehr cremiges Bokeh erzeugt. Street Photography ist normalerweise nicht mein Ding, aber hin und wieder verlasse ich auch fotografisch meine Komfortzone. Diesmal war ich mit den Ergebnissen recht zufrieden.
