During one of my visits to the center of Prague, I wandered into a neighborhood called Albertov. And as I was walking past the Botanic Garden, I decided to enter because the last time I was there was with my grandmother more than 30 years ago. This garden serves several purposes. First of all, it is a research facility of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Charles University. It also serves as a park, which is why entry is free and, above all, it is possible to get inspiration here when creating your own garden. The only entrance fee is paid to the indoor areas of the greenhouses. Admission is 100 CZK per adult, which is about 4 Euros. I would just like to point out that it is necessary to pay in cash and the opening hours are limited compared to outdoor exhibitions. Botanical garden website
Při jedné z návštev centra Prahy jsem se zatoulal do čtvrti jménem Albertov. A když jsem procházel kolem Botanické zahrady, rozhodl jsem se vstoupit, protože jsem zde byl naposled se svojí babičkou před více než 30 lety. Tato zahrada plní několik účelů. Především se jedná o výzkumné pracoviště Přírodovědné fakulty Univerzity Karlovy. Dále slouží jako park, proto je sem vstup zdarma a především je možné zde načerpat inspiraci při tvorbě vlastní zahrady. Jediné vstupné se platí do vnitřních prostor skleníků. Vstup je 100,- Kč za dospělého což jsou asi 4 Eura. Jen upozorňuji, že je nutné platit v hotovosti a otevírací doba je omezena oproti venkovním expozicím.
Initially, I only wanted to take a look at the garden, but I ended up spending over two hours here. And I was moving pretty fast. It is possible to spend an entire afternoon here with a detailed exploration. There are many biotopes, some art, Geopark and many other interesting places.
Původně jsem chtěl do zahrady pouze nahlédnout, ale nakonec jsem zde strávil přes dvě hodiny. A to jsem se pohyboval dosti rychle. Při podrobném průzkumu je možné zde strávit celé odpoledne. Je zde spousta biotopů, umělecká díla, Geopark a spousta dalších zajímavých míst.
This place is definitely worth a visit because there is always something blooming and the garden is different every time.
Toto místo rozhodně stojí za návštěvu, protože zde neustále něco kvete a zahrada je pokaždé jiná.
