Recently, my group of friends and I set out on a thrilling expedition to the Shikari Mata Temple in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. This enthralling hiking trip not only tested our physical endurance but also left us spellbound by the beauty and tranquility of the region. Day 1: Govind Sagar Lake and the Tales It Holds

Our journey commenced in the scenic hill station of Shimla, a place renowned for its natural beauty and colonial charm. After a delicious breakfast, we hit the road, brimming with excitement for the days ahead. As we drove through the winding roads, passing lush green valleys and picturesque villages, the panoramic vistas of the Himalayas began to unfold before our eyes.

After a few hours on the road, we reached Bilaspur, a small town nestled on the banks of the Gobind Sagar Lake. We couldn't resist the temptation to explore this historically significant place. The lake, created by the Bhakra-Nangal Dam, is not only a stunning water body but also holds great historical importance for the region.

The sun began to set, casting a golden hue over the shimmering waters of Govind Sagar Lake. We took a leisurely boat ride, soaking in the serenity of the surroundings and capturing breathtaking views of the sunset. It was a truly tranquil experience that left us refreshed and rejuvenated.

After bidding farewell to Bilaspur, we continued our journey towards Mandi, a captivating town known as the "Varanasi of the Hills." Mandi is renowned for its rich cultural heritage and ancient temples. Our anticipation grew as we approached our destination.

Day 2: Baba Bhootnath Temple and the Charms of Mandi

The following day, we set off to visit the revered Baba Bhootnath Temple, nestled in the heart of Mandi.
