_{Almelo is rich in nature, truly, it is one of the greenest cities in the Netherlands. It has a canal going all the way to Germany, the 'Almelo-Nordhorn Canal'. It is a cycling route that starts near Gravenallee, and ends in... you guessed it, Nordhorn. It's a 35-kilometer-long track with plenty of things to look at.}

_{Nordhorn is quite similar to Almelo, both cities have a history with textile. What makes Nordhorn different is that the river "The Vecht" goes straight through the center of Nordhorn. Years ago, this canal was used by the shipping industry. I can imagine what it would look like, but I can understand why it isn't being used anymore. The canal is way too narrow.}

_{Over the years, because the shipping industry stopped using the canal, it has changed a lot. Natural rock formations were placed, not natural, but natural rocks placed by humans. To create a specific type of flow, or to regulate the flow of water. After seeing it a couple of times, I just had to remember where it was before I went back to take photographs. I wanted to photograph the creek with a Circular Polarizer filter in combination with an ND filter. The difference between the two photographs is insane...}

Which one would you pick?

Can you see the difference? If it wasn't for the deep vibrant Sunset in the other picture, I'd choose the one with lesser colorful tones. It's crazy what polarization is doing to our eyes, or our lenses (as photographers). Which is your favorite?
