Hi there, today I would like to share with you some photos I took on a trip to the desert while on holiday in Dubai with my family. We took part in a desert trip which included dinner at a desert campsite. The programme for the trip stated that we would have the opportunity to photograph the sunset, which I was very much looking forward to. When we arrived at the campsite, we were escorted to the best spot in the area to photograph the sunset .

Sometimes the reality is different from what we expect, so I'm trying to stick to the rule that if you don't expect anything, you can't be disappointed, but I was a little bit disappointed at that time. In my mind, I've pictured a different scenery for the desert sunset: a cliché of neverending dunes, sunbathed in the warm rays of the sunset, pure kitsch 😊.
Instead, I got a sunset behind a power line. Despite my initial disappointment, I picked up my camera and quickly shot some photos, which you can see in this post.
And since it is better to look at the bright side of things, I selected these images as my entry post for the #Qurator Photo Quest: Cables or Wires.
