How is it possible for 32 years that no government took measures to preserve and protect it?! In fact, Buzludzha is very similar to Bulgaria - beautiful and powerful, but in the past.
As a photojournalist, I had the honor of entering the building. Although for the short time spent in the dark corridors one could feel the grandeur of the past. A past that our rulers forget.
The building is currently guarded by the police. Any access to it is prohibited. And it could have turned into a museum, attracting thousands of tourists...
And what if Buzludzha is a symbol of Communism in Bulgaria? Shouldn't we preserve history by showing it to generations?

The first impression that Buzludzha evokes is of something not from planet Earth. You just have to see with your own eyes to feel the still palpable pulse of everything surrounding Buzludzha.
INFORMATION ABOUT BUZLUDJA MONUMENT
It was built in 1981 and abandoned in the 90s. Currently, a foundation is working to preserve it, with the idea that this amazing place will someday welcome visitors again. When I was there, work was being done to preserve the unique mosaics made by the best sculptors.
It is located on the peak of Buzludzha, and the view from the monument and towards it is majestic. Its construction there is no accident. Very important battles for Bulgaria were fought on these lands. Very close is the Shipka Freedom Monument, which I will tell you about another time.
