The small island near the coast is only occupied by the birds. About a month ago I made a post where I also had a photo of this island but at the time there were only some seagulls. Now about a week ago when these photos were taken there were also an insane amount of cormorants, they always come back to this location.
This island is about 50 meters away from the coast and about 6 years ago we even swam there with a couple of friends. Can't say that the birds were particularly happy with our presence there. Hundreds of them took off and flew above the island but many didn't fly away amazingly, we did a quick walk by and didn't bother them too much.
This time however I am not on the island and took photos from a distance, pretty cool shots actually.
Seagulls and cormorants seem to co-exist there, though cormorants are clearly a majority there.
When we have a storm and the water level rises then this island is almost entirely underwater.
