This time there will be a slightly different entry from the previous ones, because it will concern an event with crowds of people. Despite the fact that Szczecin is not located by the sea, it has access to it through the mouth of the Oder River to the Baltic Sea and as a port city it is associated with shipping. Thanks to this, various sailing events are organized there. In 2017 I had the opportunity to be in Szczecin at the final of "The Tall Ships Races". It is an international rally of various sailing ships, which is combined with regattas to several ports.

Tym razem będzie trochę inny wpis od poprzednich, ponieważ będzie dotyczył wydarzenia na którym były tłumy ludzi. Szczecin pomimo, że nie leży nad morzem to przez ujście rzeki Odry do Morza Bałtyckiego ma do niego dostęp i jako miasto portowe jest związane z żeglugą. Dzięki temu organizowane są w nim różne imprezy żeglarskie. W 2017 miałem okazję być w Szczecinie na finale regat "The Tall Ships Races". Jest to międzynarodowy zlot rozmaitych żaglowców, który połączony jest z regatami do kilku portów.
The start of the 2017 regatta started in Halmstad in Sweden to the ports of Kotka and Turku in Finland.
Start regat w 2017 roku zaczynał się w Halmstad w Szwecji do portów w Kotka i Turku w Finlandii.
Then the route ran through the city of Klaipeda in Lithuania to the final port in Szczecin in Poland.
Następnie trasa przebiegała przez miasto Kłajpeda w Litwie do finałowego portu w Szczecinie w Polsce.
The route is not fixed and changes with each subsequent edition of the regatta.
Trasa nie jest stała i zmienia się z każdą kolejną edycją regat.
It was the third final organized in Szczecin, the fourth in 2021 did not take place due to the global situation with a certain virus.
Był to trzeci finał organizowany w Szczecinie, czwarty w 2021 nie odbył się ze względu na globalną sytuację z pewnym wirusem.
As you can see in the pictures, the moored yachts were of various sizes.
Jak widać na zdjęciach, zacumowane jachty były przeróżnej wielkości.
Some of them could be entered and visited.
Na część z nich można było wejść i pozwiedzać.
In addition, various other attractions, such as concerts, fireworks, a children's zone, an amusement park and much more.
Do tego rozmaite inne atrakcje, jak koncerty, pokazy sztucznych ogni, strefa dla dzieci, wesołe miasteczko i wiele innych.
Next year the final is to take place again in Szczecin and I hope that this time it will take place.
W przyszłym roku finał ma ponownie odbyć się w Szczecinie i mam nadzieję, że tym razem dojdzie do skutku.
It will be fun to walk along the Odra River embankment and admire all these sailing ships.
Fajnie będzie pochodzić nabrzeżem Odry i podziwiać te wszystkie żaglowce.
