Best regards wonderful minimalist, I am glad to be part of this very interesting phase of the minimalist question prompt. I therefore use this medium to welcome you all to my blog.
Back to the main area of concentration for this very interesting personal reveal question. It got me thinking for a while, but I have to make this post anyway. This might be helpful to someone who is going through the Dark days of his/her life.
Though I am still quite young, I am young enough to have gathered experience from different aspects of my life. I have experiences from things I have done wrong, from wrong decisions taken, from people around me and so on, but all this is simply preparing me for a better tomorrow and also helping me to be a better version of myself.
Talking of How Resilient I am
As an African man, we are all built strong enough to withstand anything, but this is not the point I am trying to make here. Speaking sincerely, hailing from a country like mine, you will therefore teach yourself to have a strong will for basically living, and everything done is just based on the adage "survival of the fittest". With the will of wanting to survive and keep trying, you will therefore make yourself immune to many things.
On a more personal note, I have witnessed quite a lot which is able to break a man, but here I am still going. No matter how husky, how turbulent the situation tends to be, I always come out strong through the continuous help of God. Yes, I play my part as God does his, for heaven helps those who help themselves.
For now, I will say I am a survivor. Not wanting to talk much, I have trained myself to adapt both physically, emotionally, psychologically, and otherwise to withstand anything that comes my way. I have learned a lot from most of the situations I have been in. At the end of the day, my persistent nature keeps me going.
My Experience
If anyone had told me life would have been this hard while I was growing up and dreaming of all those fantasy lifestyles in my head back then as a kid, I wouldn't have believed it.
Growing up, everything seemed fine and easygoing, but I had no idea what my parents were going through to make life so comfortable for us until recently, because I am getting a taste of what life really looks like now.
So, I had been home all my life with my parents and finally left for school. It was all going well until my dad passed away. I wasn't even half way through my studies. It was easy at first because I never thought of the responsibilities ahead of me until I got back to school after the whole incident, and that was when I knew life was really hard and needed a strong will to keep going.
Eating was a problem, as was lots of other things. Food was not my major priority back then. I had other more pressing issues to sort out with an eye to my mom and siblings back home. Thinking about this responsibilities alone was heart breaking I need a good source of income to assist but had no serious job back then.
With no one to assist, that was when I realized that in this life, no one owes anyone anything. We all just have to find our own part and pray that our luck shines.
I had the thought of quitting school. Lots of things were all flooded in my head, but deep down I knew it would be great if I stood strong and faced these dark days of mine.
In the end, I came out strong, and while things aren't perfect yet, they're a lot better than they were before.We just have to stay strong no matter what happens or what situation we happen to be going through.
Lessons Learned
Life has many lessons to teach us in every situation we find ourselves in. I have learned a great number of things through those experiences of mine. Below are some of them.
No matter how people seem to tell you they have your back and all that, just know it's totally a lie for when the real deal comes up, you will be left alone.
Trust is a big deal of a commodity to give, so it will be great to know how you let your trust out.
Every day is a struggle; we have got to try to give our best in everything we do.
For me, giving up is a sin, so no matter what happens, there is no giving up for it will definitely be the greatest mistake of our lives.
Also, life is always a way round, segmented. Nothing can be rushed, as an adage goes, "we cannot be faster than our shadows". So our lives have been programmed by our maker. We just have to follow it and take things as we see them and pray for the better.
Sincerely speaking, if I was given the opportunity to change things, or consider doing things differently from what I had going on for me back then, I think there would be nothing to be changed, for all I had gone through was a stage in my life, so there was no skipping it for something else. I just accepted and took the lessons seriously.
The experience made me a man; it helped me get to a stronger version of myself and I am grateful for it, even though it made me go through hell on earth.
