TTT - Steve Thorne

Hello Hive Music Lovers!,

Welcome to another #threetunetuesday created originally by @ablaze.

This week I feature the great independent artist Steve Thorne. I was so happy when he dropped his latest album Malice in Plunderland and bought it straight away on Bandcamp to add to my collection.

I really loved his last album levelled and he didn't disappoint with his new album either. There are a few bangers on here which I really love.

The first tune is the title track from his new album and one I really love. Steve has a great voice and I love the progressive rock sound. As you can tell from the album cover, Steve is from the UK and he sings about the clown world we are living in right now. One of the tracks is even called "These Clowns" and is an absolute belter.

The melodies are often great in Steve's tunes and the lyrics are really great and hit home. I often find myself humming along and enjoying the album thinking about and humming the lyrics too.

After this song, the track Tall And Strong plays too. This is a great example of Steve's talent in not only singing about the clown world we are living in, but giving people inspiration about what they could achieve if they wanted.

This is also seen in many of the other tracks, which you can listen to on Bandcamp.https://stevethorne1.bandcamp.com/album/malice-in-plunderland and see the full album if you like it.

Malice in Plunderland

The next tune is a touching tune by Steve which has those vibes from Sting and his Englishman in New York tune but obviously abit more in the critical-thinking-esque direction.

The video I think is also great work by Geoff who is also playing the guitar on many of Steve's songs. This is the third song on Steve's album Levelled - Emotional Creatures part 3.

It is another album that I bought and loved. This track was not one of the first that I was instantly drawn to, but over time I have enjoyed it more and the video is very well done too.

Rainy day in New York

The final tune is another from the Levelled album. This album has many good tracks and I love the video work Geoff has done to accompany it. He drops a few truths bombs which match the lyrics quite aptly.

I remember when I discovered this tune during the covid times and it was really pretty accurate with regards to the media and its manipulation. Steve sings really well about a tough subject that I wouldn't necessarily think is something you could easily sing about, however he does a great job and aces it!

I won't Forsake Truth

That wraps up my #ttt for this week. I hope you are having a great musical Tuesday. I hope you enjoyed something abit different and less commercial this week.

For those unfamiliar with TTT or Three Tune Tuesday.... to quote @ablaze :

The jist is as follows
Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #threetunetuesday tag that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize.

Be sure to head over and give @ablaze some support as without his great work, we wouldn't have a #ttt.
