My Actifit Report Card: September 15 2021


Pretty good conditions for today’s group run, and with parkrun back in action here in Ireland, there’s a bit more fitness focus to the training. The sessions had evolved into something that was more to maintain our mental health through the various lockdowns, than it was about running performance.

So this evening started with a short flat section, then turning to a long uphill to tire the legs before a brief walking recovery. Then we had a nice downhill, and another long drag uphill. Finally a short, steep downhill to recover and/or make up some ground, followed by a long flat stretch to the finish. Negative splits meant that even on tired legs my runners were able to finish strong.
I’m proud of them (even if could feel them glaring daggers into my back at times)😂
