We are in Venice, in San Lio between Rialto and San Marco, in an apartment for a week. We visited 5 years ago with our son. We have returned this time with both children who are having lots of fun.
It is a little quieter than usual for this area at this time of year which is actually a blessing! We also feel lucky that most of the museums have reopened and the beach at Lido is quieter and cleaner. So far we have visited the Natural History Museum which is astonishing which all its macabre taxidermy and today we went to the beach. The food so far has been βmehβ and I am already covered in swollen mosquito bites but after lockdown in Cambridge, I wouldnβt want to be anywhere else!
We plan to visit the Palazzos around San Marcoβs Square, go to Murano where the glassworks used to be made and of course visit the beach again and eat lots of delicious ice-cream π¦
