My Actifitivity: July 30/31 2022

Saturday (plus Sunday)

This is kind of a two-day-report.

Since the actifit app spontaneously decided to reset the "yesterday" feature while I composed the Friday post on Saturday evening, now I'll have to tell you about Saturday in Sunday's post.

I could go on a rant about how that messes with my OCD and how clumsy that actifit app's posting editor is... but I won't!

Luckily Saturday's tale seamlessly connects with Sunday and it's all about a great #Caturday and meeting an old adventure buddy again.

Hazel was here for the weekend and as we returned from a nice afternoon walk yesterday, we ran into this pretty feline fellow who was immediately getting friendly and exchanging cuddles with us.

There was a sense of familiarity but I didn't recognize him at all. He looked quite slender and of a pale orange hue.

I've done some digging by now and compared the pictures to the cat that joined me on a proper little #catventure way back last year in December. Same white streak over the nose, it's definitely him, albeit he looked a bit heavier and his winter coat was of a darker more saturated orange colour, but it's definitely him!

The reason I checked was because his behaviour was rather odd. It's quite normal that a cat that's been getting some cuddles will follow you for a little bit, but usually not too far out of their comfort zone. He on the other hand followed us through the whole quarter of the neighbourhood right away and would have wanted to come back into the house with us, like he did last December.

But it doesn't stop here. I didn't let him in this time, but apparently he waited outside for an hour or two until after we had finished dinner. As we left for another evening walk after sunset, he was still there and accompanied us again, all the way out of the village and through the fields at the edge of the forest.

This was all yesterday, on #Caturday. And today, guess who was waiting outside of grandma's place to pose for the first two pictures in this post... yeap... him again.

Looks like I have a new best buddy!!

😻

Thanks for your time!
