SEASON HUNT CHALLANGE - BARE TREES

With Autumn in the rear mirror, bare trees not yet covered in ice and snow, litter the landscape with an entirely new beauty. Landscapes that were alive with color just a few weeks ago now stand barren with the decaying foliage blanketing the nearby ground.

Older stone structures add a sense of reality to this time of year as their palette blends in with its surroundings.

All but the Conofiers tell the story of the approaching winter.

This is the historical marker that tells us a little about this roofless building in the two pictures above.

Even long after the leaves from the few trees surrounding the barn have fallen, the dead grasses still stand tall, waiting to be laid down by snowstorms, sure to come.

In the depths of the forest, the peaceful sounds of a stream yet frozen, remind you that life
will rise again from these fertile grounds. While walking under this leafless canopy, you absorb all that nature offers.

Hiking warms the body and soul. Your eyes can see for greater distances while BARE TREES are in vogue.
