I love very much fruit juice. There was also a contest that caught my eye.

Amazing Drinks this week contest: @amazingdrinks/first-amazing-drinks-contest-your

Fruit juice is a favorite of many people. There are various kinds of fruits that are liked by many people, adapted to the fruits that are familiar in the city where they live.

If asked what the drink expresses about me, then I will answer it is about kweni fruit juice.

The fruit juice that I like is quite unique. The kweni fruit juice looks like mango fruit. Kweni fruit juice has a stronger fragrance than mango. We can even smell their fragrance from outside their skin.

The appearance of the skin is not too smooth, slippery like a mango. On the kweni fruit, there are more dark spots.

The flesh of the fruit is also less fibrous but can still be cut into small pieces.

The smell of kweni fruit makes me really like kweni fruit as juice. However, we cannot find this kweni fruit every day.

The taste of kweni fruit is not too sweet compared to mango. This makes kweni fruit more popular as a spicy fruit salad or served with salty seasonings to neutralize the acid from the fruit.

Kweni fruit contains lots of antioxidants which are of course good for health as well as skin beauty. Our kweni fruit is believed to be able to facilitate digestion. It is believed that kweni fruit is also able to increase the body's immunity and also to avoid eye disease disorders.

So today I'm going to make kweni juice and share it with you guys in this Amazing Drinks community.

Kweni fruits that I bought at the traditional market for $1. It's quite cheap compared to other fruit in my city.

Don't forget. There are additional ingredients that I have to add to make the kweni juice sweet and taste good. I added sugar and coconut water jelly called natadecoco. I use natadecoco from instant product from the market.

For natadecoco is an optional ingredient. In order to taste sweeter and add a chewy sensation at the end when chewing

A frequently asked question that I also used to ask was whether to add sugar to kweni fruit juice? Many people do add sugar to the juice which is actually unhealthy. This is because there is more water added if you use a regular blender instead of a juicer. But especially for kweni fruit juice, in my opinion, sugar must be added because the taste of kweni fruit tends to be sour. Like the kweni fruit that I bought this time it tasted sour. So I have to add sugar.

WHAT DO I PREPARE

IMG_20230308_131529.jpg

  • 500 grams of kweni fruits
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 500 ml of water of more according to the thick texture you want
  • enough natadecoco (coconut water jelly) for serving
  • enough ice cubes for serving
