Today I’m sharing a decorative fruit made using the quilling technique.

Hola a toda mi gente de Hive... 🐱

Hoy voy a continuar con una serie que he venido haciendo de frutas sencillas decorativas, a las cuales les pueden dar uso variado, pueden decorar cajas, bolsas, volverlos dije para collar, zarcillos, colgantes entre otras cosas.

Para hoy le traigo una patilla decorativa, realizada en la técnica de quilling.

• I started by taking 3-mm-wide quilling tape in red, white, and green.

• Using the quilling needle, I started rolling the red strip. When I finished that strip, I glued on a piece of white ribbon and rolled it until I finished with that color. To finish, I glued on the green ribbon, finished rolling it, and sealed it with extra-strong white glue to create a multicolored circle that will be my watermelon.

• Comencé tomando cinta para quilling de 3 mm de ancho, de color rojo, blanco, y verde.

• Con la aguja para quilling, comencé a enrollar por el color rojo, al terminar con esa tira pegué un trozo de color blanco enrollé hasta finalizar con este color, para culminar, pegué la cinta de color verde terminé de enrollar y selle con pega blanca extra fuerte para obtener un círculo multicolor que será mi sandía o patilla.

• I took the circle and applied several layers of extra-strong white glue to protect it, laminate it, and make it harder and more durable.

• To finish the details on my watermelon, I used black jewelry tubes and glued them in various spots on the circle to resemble seeds.

This is how I finished this decorative watermelon or “patilla” using the quilling technique.

• Tome el círculo y apliqué varias capas de pega blanca extra fuerte para protegerlo, plastificarlo y de esta manera hacerlo más duro y resistente.

• Para terminar los detalles de mi sandía o patilla, tomé canutillos de bisutería de color negro, pegué en varios puntos del círculo para asemejar las semillas.

De esta manera finalice esta patilla o sandía decorativa , en la técnica de quilling.
