The beauty of the top of Sajek Valley is indescribable! The moment we arrived was luckily 4 pm. The weather was crystal clear, as you can see. I heard that the weather in Sajek Valley fluctuates in a matter of minutes. We had lunch at the very moment we arrived there. It was a restaurant maintained by Army personnel. The price of the food was pretty reasonable. The lunch cost only BDT130. It consisted of rice, chicken curry, bhaji and lentil soup. The one thing that is the most scarce in Sajek is water. Every drop matters. It's 1800 feet high from the sea level. The water comes all the way from Khagrachori. So, please, do be very careful to use water. The cottage we hired cost too much because it was peak time for tourists. We barely slept at night. I, along with my two colleagues, woke up at 4 am and went to the Helipad to witness the magical sunrise. Though it was beautiful, we didn’t see the sun rising because of the clouds.
The night sky of Sajek Valley! See how clear it is! I wish I had a professional camera. We spent a couple of hours on top of the hill. There were some street food-carts selling fried fish, crab, momo etc. They are sufficiently delicious and cheap too.

We left Sajek that day. Then we went to Risong waterfall in Khagrachori, Alutilla cave, hanging bridge. We left for Dhaka that night. It was really a wonderful trip. We made a mistake that we hadn’t reserve any cottage before going to Sajek. Reserve a cottage before you go there unless you want to stay under the sky. It's not a bad idea if you have a tent. There's a beautiful mosque, you can sleep on the balcony of the mosque if you want. Be careful of the notorious mosquitos of hill tracts.
