During one of my search, was how I came across @starstrings01 and get to know about the @newbies-hive and the newbies initiative, but unfortunately the program as already Kickstarted before I joined hive then, so patiently I look forward to the opening for new recruit to the initiative, and fortunately @iskafan post brought that to my notice some days ago, well without further ado, let me dive into My Application to Newbies Initiative.
WHO IS @VICKOLY
I'm Afolayan Victor by name, a graduate of Ekiti State University, where I studied Computer Science, you can check out my Introduction post here to know more about me.
MY THOUGHT ABOUT THE INITIATIVE
In all spheres of life where we human find ourselves newly, we always long for support and guide on how things are done, and the DOS and DON'T of such places, so as to thread the path without dashing our foot.
To me the @newbies-hive initiative can be liken to a guide or a signpost which guide newbies on what do to, and how to do it, so as to enjoy a fast pace growth on the blockchain, via challenging the user to participate in different activities, contest and task. And this will greatly improve their reputation and visibility on hive(which are evidence in the accounts of each of the last graduate of the initiative).

At the time I was thinking of how best to write these post, I've the the reputation and hive power as seen below 👇;

MY PURPOSE/REASON FOR JOINING THE INITIATIVE
The word newbie itself potrails a person who's new and as little or no knowledge about where he/she is, and this is what can best describe me presently on hive.
And in other to change that, I hope to equip myself with the following via the initiative;
- Acquire Knowledge about Hive
- Learn how to navigate hive
- Learn the right tag to use for each post
- How to choose the right community for a post
- How to grow my network/audience
- Learn more about cryptocurrency generally
- Learn and know how to navigate the blockchain games etc.
All these and much more are my purpose and what I hope to acquire during the course of the three month of the initiative.
Being an introvert, we all know how it's hard for us to communicate with others, as we introvert tend to prefer our own company than being among multitude, but I'm hoping the initiative will help me break out of my shell and take the bull by the horn😉.
MY AREA OF INTEREST
Like I said in my Introduction post , I'm the kind of person you find in almost every field, as i tend to adopt as many skills as possible due to my love for learning and trying out new things. But you'll get to see more of me in the following field that I can boldly call myself an expert in, like;
- Shoemaking
- Fashion Designer
- Graphic design
- Farmer
- Bricklayer
- Teacher
- Baker(presently an apprentice).
You can see the list is quite long, but I'm still open to learning and acquiring more skills.
