Last Saturday, October 21, 2023, we successfully conducted again a Hive Orientation in Bogo Cebu. It is our fourth time Conducting an orientation with the amazing Techear-blogger of Cebu North.

This time in our latest Onboarding, we widen up and expanding our area where we can share the good news of the Hive platform. It is our first time conducting an Hive orientation in Bogo Cebu, It is just a neighboring town of Tabogon where we mostly conducted the orientation. We are all excited to broaden our Hive Family in this place.

What : Hive Onboarding Orientation
Where: Malingin Elementary School Bogo, Cebu Philippines
When: October 21, 2023 starts at 8:30 A.M.
The orientation was planned for the first week of October, it was requested by sir @natsve54 one of the onboarded of maam @dehai who wants to share this platform with his co-teachers and friends. He offers his faculty room in Malingin Elementary School to be the venue of the Onboarding Orientation.
When everything was set (location, date, and time), we shared it with other Hivers in our Group so they could also spread regarding the event and invite their family and friends in Hive. The organizers arrange everything fine before the day of orientation.
Day of Orientation
On this Day, I screw up with the time schedule. I AM LATE (sorry*, I am in Cebu City at that time. The Travel time from Cebu City to Bogo Cebu is roughly three hours when riding a bus. I woke up at 5:00 A.M. in the morning, prepared my things, and reached the Cebu North Bus Terminal by 6:00 A.M. I was already 30 minutes late at this time so I decided to ride a UV car instead of the bus.
I expect the travel will be faster than the bus but we cannot control some instances like traffic along the way. Also, the speed travel of the UV car is very slow than the usual UV car I ride on. To make a story short, I reached the venue at 10:10 A.M. and I'm late for one and a half hours.
When I reached the school, ma'am @callmesmile was outside the gate waiting for me, we rapidly entered the room after paying the fare on a motorcycle. I was ashamed when I saw everyone just waiting for me. I didn't waste any time again and quickly set up my laptop for the presentation. While setting up @indayclara introduced me to everyone and gave some insight about Hive while waiting for me.

Hive Basic
We officially started the Orientation after setting up our presentation material. @indyaclara started by discussing the blockchain and Hive. She also defines the difference between Web 2 and Web 3 platforms. She presents the Hive Ecosystem and its function.
Peak-D Interface
About @peakd, I discussed its interface and navigated everyone through its features. about the community, where to write and compose their blog, how to engage with others, and how to upvote and reblog. I also discussed the wallet area and how to convert their HBD and HP to HIVE. we also add up the reward system of their blog.
What do you see in a blog?
On this topic, ma'am @jobeliever take an example of a blog, and navigate everyone through it. She shows everyone what to see in a blog, and what to put on it when they make one.
Do's and Dont's in Hive
This important topic was discussed by maam @ciadanmea. She highlights plagiarism, spamming, Identity theft, and also about the hive-watchers. She also points out the importance of guidance from the mentors and how it helps you inside the platform.
How to make your intro blog
Introduction is one of the important parts of starting your journey in Hive. We make some guidelines and notes to help out the newbie to break through a good introduction blog. Maam @naymhapz guide everyone on how to make an Introblog. We also share an example with the attendees so they are guided.
Enhancing your Blog
Maam @dehai also shares some tips with everyone to make content attractive, such as by creating a quality and attractive thumbnail, by making your title enticing and unique. Learning some Formatting text for arranging your blog and making your blog with substance.
The orientation takes two hours and ends with questions and answers from the participants. It's quite interesting to interact with them and answer their curiosity about the platform. We are really glad that they came with the orientation and gave us time to know the platform.
We are also thankful to ma'am (@jobeliever,@ciadanmae,@naymhapz, and @dehai) for taking and discussing each assigned topic as a speaker with everyone. If you observe in our previous orientation, It is @ybanezkim26, @indayclara and I were speakers in our onboarding, for now, we started delegating it to them to prepare for future orientations.
After answering the question we officially closed the orientation with a photo opt, with the attendees, other Hivers, and onboarders.
Delicious Meal
After a draining orientation, sir @natsve54 together with the other organizer prepared a sumptuous food for everyone. They have a fish fillet, Bam-e, and a homemade chicken-kawali of sir @natsve54. Foods are all delicious, everyone loves it.
We are thankful to the people behind this activity, for their generosity and for making time and effort to make this onboarding happen. We are really grateful to you guys. I hope a lot of the attendees join this platform soon.
