It has been a busy week for me on hive projects I made resolution that I will give hive some special attention henceforth and am working towards my goal.
My July list
In my july list I had a set goal for every week which includes, creating awareness about hive, hosting a siminar that will educate people on what hive is all about, and having a meetup on monthly basis.
So i started my week by visiting a radio station Real fm radio station where we (I and @fokusnow) went on live broadcast that helped a good number of people to hear about hive, I also created a sponsored Facebook ad and people responded positively, i was able to sign up @treanene22, after that a seminar date was fixed and people responded to the invitation.
Things discussed during the seminar.
Me and @fokusnow gave them the basic knowledge they need to know about hive, like what is hive? How to earn on hive? The important of patience and consistency in hive platform and how can engagement help newbies build their profile.
There were so many questions like what is web3? Is the money accessible or ist audio money and all questions where answered.
Unfortunately many Nigerians have been scammed by so many get rich quick scheme and this also discourages people even when they see a legit work but they were convinced about hive.
The seminar started by 10am and ended by 2pm, we made it clear to them that hive is not a get rich quick scheme and hive is open for people who have the mind for long term investment.
We elaborated more on how skilled people can benefit from joining hive platform, it was a successful seminar.
Meetup
Every platform can only grow as a community when there is collaboration, communication and engagement, physical communication has a way of building and helping people to grow as a group and also an individual.
After reading this post by @steevc i realized that one reason why most Nigerians are inactive is due to lack of motivation and encouragement, and this can only come from having meetups where you get to see face to face and encourage each other.
So a meetup was fixed and this is one of the reason why i traveled 12hrs to Aba just to have the taste of hive Meetup and honestly i enjoyed it.
Preparation.
I woke up early in the morning because i had to go on an hour 30mins ride before I will get to the venue, after preparing food for my brother and doing other necessary things I i left home for the meetup.
When i got there, at 208 Azikiwe road Aba @fokusnow was already on ground Puting things together for the meetup, i quickly helped and we got everything set wait for our friends to come.

Finally we have beautiful faces from Aba and uyo and it was a thing of joy to meet with them.
Agenda discussed.
Four good agenda was discussed in this meetup and it was a very good way to encourage everyone to sit up and create more value for both themselves and hive.

The funny thing is that i haven't meet any of them before so it was just all fun for me.
We discussed challenges facing everyone as a content creator, which includes what is known as writers block, which means the willingness to create a content is there but there is nothing upstairs to create about.
We also discussed how to search for skilled people and onboard them on hive platform, skilled people like Artists, music producers, fashion designers and many more.
Skilled people will add value to hive platform because they will create original content and also engage and educate others in the platform.
Engagement is also important as a group because engagement and collaboration is just the way to grow personally and also as a group.
Group savings was also an agenda, this discussion helped everyone to see how savings can help us practice dollar cost averaging and how this can benefit each and everyone of us..
The inactive ones complained about timing, they have busy schedule that has made it difficult for them to active on hive, suggestions on how commitment can help one achieve something no matter his or her busy schedule was discussed.
It was an interesting occasion and everyone enjoyed it.

Next move
It was an interesting, encouraging and educating moment and it will continue.
When I go back to Lagos, we wil also organize an interesting meetup with hivians in Lagos and we will all have a memorable moment like that of of today.
