He perdido la cuenta de las oportunidades que tuvo el equipo alemán para acabar, al menos por esta temporada, con el yugo que su principal rival ha impuesto en la Bundesliga desde hace 11 años. Pero, parece que todo ha sido una estrategia de la vida para hacerles creer que podían lograrlo, y luego arrebatarles la oportunidad en la última jornada. Solo algo así podría explicar lo que ha ocurrido en la última fecha del torneo.

El Borussia Dortmund llegaba con la posibilidad real de ser campeón de la temporada, incluso sin depender de lo que ocurriera con el Bayern Múnich. De hecho, era este último quien debía esperar un tropiezo por parte del Borussia para tener opción al título. Y, para aumentar aún más el drama en el final, no era esta la primera vez que el Borussia dejaba escapar oportunidades claras de liderar el torneo.

Así que solo nos queda pensar que alguien escribió el guion de esta temporada y quiso poner su toque personal, haciendo que fuera mucho más entretenida que las anteriores. Dejó que el Bayern perdiera encuentros en los que años atrás no solo no fallaba, sino que lograba triunfos por goleada.

Y, por otra parte, el equipo del Dortmund, que a principios del 2023 no se encontraba ni siquiera dentro de los primeros 4 del torneo, logró una remontada de las más épicas, al punto de tener la oportunidad de quedarse con el título de la Bundesliga. Quizás por eso duele mucho más el final, porque seamos honestos, el Bayern siempre es el principal candidato a quedar campeón, pero su temporada no fue de las más regulares, no si la comparamos con temporadas anteriores, y, aun así, el Borussia no le pudo arrebatar el campeonato.

Podría decir que la vida le dio una segunda oportunidad al Borussia Dortmund, la cual le permitía, delante de su público, quedar campeones de la temporada, dejando con las manos vacías a su principal rival, pero mi punto de vista poeta me hace creer que todo fue una jugada de quien dirigía esta historia llamada Bundesliga, una historia de la cual ya todos conocíamos el final. Y me atrevo a decir que incluso los jugadores del Dortmund.

Solo eso explica la manera en la que ambos equipos encararon el partido final. Por un lado, el Bayern no se dejó intimidar ante el Colonia, su rival de turno, quien salió con toda la intención de dejarlo sin ninguna opción al título. Y durante varios minutos del partido, ya cuando faltaban apenas 10 para el final, estaba logrando su cometido, al convertir el penal decretado por el árbitro principal vía VAR. Pero el Bayern sacó la casta y logró anotar un gol más, el cual fue suficiente para quedarse con el campeonato.

Y fue justamente lo opuesto en el caso del Borussia, quien vio cómo el equipo rival le marcaba dos goles en el primer tiempo. Aunque el Dortmund atacaba sin cesar, lo hacía de forma errática en el tramo final de la cancha. Incluso se dio el lujo de fallar un penal. Finalmente, su empate a 2 lo dejó sin ninguna oportunidad para quedar campeones.

Es muy difícil explicar este final, a menos que se una a mi opinión de que ya todo estaba escrito, y quien escribió el guion dejó toda la emoción para el final. Si no, es casi imposible explicar cómo el Borussia Dortmund ha dejado escapar esta grandísima oportunidad de quedar campeones después de estar bajo el yugo del Bayern durante 10 años, y ahora 11. Por eso, mi opinión final será esa. El Dortmund nunca tuvo opciones reales al título, nunca tuvo esa segunda oportunidad, porque la vida nunca las da, al menos no tan grandes como esta.

Maybe that's why the end hurts much more, because let's be honest, Bayern is always the main candidate to become champion, but their season was not one of the most regular, not if we compare it with previous seasons, and even so Borussia could not snatch the championship.

I could say that life gave Borussia Dortmund a second chance, which allowed them, in front of their fans, to become champions of the season, leaving their main rival empty-handed, but my poet's point of view makes me believe that it was all a play by whoever was directing this story called Bundesliga, a story of which we all already knew the end. And I dare say even the Dortmund players.

That alone explains the way both teams approached the final match. On the one hand, Bayern were undeterred by their opponents Cologne, who came out with every intention of leaving them with no chance of winning the title. And for several minutes of the match, with just one minute to go, they succeeded in doing just that, converting the penalty awarded by the main referee via VAR. But Bayern pulled out all the stops and managed to score one more goal, which was enough to clinch the championship.

And it was just the opposite for Borussia, who saw their opponents score two goals in the first half. Although Dortmund attacked relentlessly, they were erratic in the closing stages of the game.
