En esta oportunidad contaré el entrenamiento que hicimos la semana del 10 al 14/07/2023 (lunes, miércoles y viernes), porque la aventura del domingo merece un post completo. Sheryl, la aventurera consentida del grupo vino de visita y desde su llegada hemos hecho varias actividades para aprovechar al máximo su estadía en la ciudad.
Empezamos el día lunes, 4,56 kilómetros de caminata en la montaña del Hotel Maracay, mientras caminábamos nos fuimos poniendo al día con los últimos acontecimientos en la vida de cada una.
In this opportunity I will tell the training we did the week of 10 to 14/07/2023 (Monday, Wednesday and Friday), because Sunday's adventure deserves a complete post. Sheryl, the spoiled adventurer of the group came to visit and since her arrival we have done several activities to make the most of her stay in the city.
We started on Monday, 4.56 kilometers of hiking on the mountain of the Maracay Hotel, while we were walking we were catching up with the latest events in the life of each one of us.
El día miércoles decidimos salir a entrenar en la montaña, a las 6 y 30 a.m ya estábamos activas para llegar al mirador que se encuentra en la vía a Ocumare de la costa el cual Sheryl no conocía (hice un post sobre este sitio y las característica de la vía en post anterior). Nos fuimos en carro hasta la alcabala del Limón, allí nos encontramos con Manuel y Rich para iniciar nuestra aventura de 20,60 kilómetros ya que el trafico en las mañanas, por las avenidas de la ciudad es fuerte y hemos tomado medidas de prevención.
On Wednesday we decided to go out to train in the mountains, at 6:30 a.m. we were already active to reach the viewpoint located on the road to Ocumare de la Costa which Sheryl did not know (I made a post about this site and the characteristics of the road in previous post). We went by car to the alcabala del Limón, there we met Manuel and Rich to start our adventure of 20.60 kilometers because the traffic in the mornings, through the avenues of the city is strong and we have taken preventive measures.
El clima de la montaña estaba cálido, poco trafico, cada uno subiendo a su ritmo, concentrados en sus piernas y respiración para llegar al mirador, en lo particular disfruto al máximo observar los matinales y el sonido que produce la caída del agua, la caricia de la brisa y el rugir de los monos (a veces se pueden ver en la copa de los arboles), es un matiz variado que ofrece la naturaleza. Sheryl, quedó encantada con El Mirador, tomamos fotos para luego regresar disfrutando de la adrenalina del descenso...Al llegar a la ciudad, Yvonne nos invitó un rico desayuno acompañado de chocolate caliente.
The mountain weather was warm, little traffic, everyone climbing at their own pace, concentrating on their legs and breathing to reach the viewpoint, I particularly enjoy watching the matinales and the sound produced by the falling water, the caress of the breeze and the roar of the monkeys (sometimes you can see them in the treetops), it is a varied nuance that nature offers. Sheryl, was enchanted with El Mirador, we took pictures and then we returned enjoying the adrenaline of the descent... When we arrived to the city, Yvonne invited us to a delicious breakfast with hot chocolate.
El día viernes, nos fuimos a la Victoria, allá nos esperaban las compañeras de ciclismo: Anais, Greisis, Iris, Maryuri, May para llevarnos a conocer una nueva ruta de montaña (la ruta del pan), pero antes subimos hasta la cruz que se encuentra en la vía a la colonia Tovar (Aragua-Venezuela). Dejamos los carros en casa de Iris y comenzamos a subir, pero en un tramo nos dimos cuenta que Greisis y May se quedaron atrás, nos detuvimos a esperarlas, cuando las vimos nuevamente nos contaron que iban hablando y sin darse cuenta los volantes se tocaron ocasionándoles una caída.
On Friday, we went to La Victoria, where our cycling companions were waiting for us: Anais, Greisis, Iris, Maryuri, May to take us to know a new mountain route (the bread route), but first we climbed up to the cross that is located on the road to Colonia Tovar (Aragua-Venezuela). We left the cars at Iris's house and began to climb, but in a stretch we realized that Greisis and May were left behind, we stopped to wait for them, when we saw them again they told us that they were talking and without realizing the steering wheels touched causing them to fall.
Estando en la cruz nos alcanzaron otros compañeros en bicicletas de ruta, nos apoyaron para tomar las fotos, los invitamos pero no podían porque al descender de la cruz y tomar la ruta del pan, el camino es de tierra, uno de ellos se quedó con el teléfono de Sheryl pero nos dimos cuenta cuando habíamos descendido; nos percatamos que venía un chico en moto y le pedimos el favor de subir junto a la dueña del teléfono a buscarlo (siempre conseguimos personas que nos ayudan) esperamos como 15 minutos mientras regresaba Sheryl, luego tomamos el desvío para conocer el nuevo destino.
We invited them but they could not because when we descended from the cross and took the bread road, the road is dirt, one of them stayed with Sheryl's phone but we realized when we had descended; we realized that a guy on a motorcycle was coming and we asked him the favor of going up with the owner of the phone to look for it (we always get people to help us) we waited about 15 minutes while Sheryl returned, then we took the detour to meet the new destination.
Llegamos al primer paso de río, nos quedamos un buen rato disfrutando del agua cálida, compartimos meriendas y anécdotas, de regreso nos reencontramos con los compañeros que subieron en bicicletas de ruta, entramos a una bodega y se nos ocurrió hacer un baile para tiktok, fué muy divertido y ameno el rato. Recorrimos 35.5 kilómetros en total, cerca del mediodía regresamos a nuestros hogares para descansar, atender asuntos personales y en la noche fuimos a disfrutar de la invitación de Gaby para jugar padel y beach tenis, así terminó nuestro fabuloso día, el sábado fué de descanso porque el domingo nos esperaba una aventura fuera de serie...esta historia continuará...
We arrived at the first pass of the river, we stayed for a while enjoying the warm water, we shared snacks and anecdotes, on the way back we met up with our companions who came up on road bikes, we entered a winery and it occurred to us to do a dance for tiktok, it was very fun and enjoyable time. We rode 35.5 kilometers in total, around noon we returned to our homes to rest, take care of personal matters and in the evening we went to enjoy Gaby's invitation to play paddle and beach tennis, so ended our fabulous day, Saturday was a rest day because on Sunday we had an adventure out of series...this story will continue....
