As I continue my journey into learning about art AND just doing my own thing, all at the same time, I am coming to the end of my 9-day virtual art classes with The Creative Retreat Live courses.
Due to the time change from West Coast to East, I've been making up some classes.
Many of them offer downloads for assistance and guides but I am too lazy for that! Like I said, learning while continuing to do my own thing...so I free-handed my puffin sketch.
Which is pretty obvious when you view the final result. The class was put on by saumya. I also tend to rush with these classes, considering future attempts can be done more methodically, once I understand what I'm meant to be doing.

In other art related news I am still puttering through the perspective class through Craftsy.
I actually like this class to really dig in and watch and rewind and try again. I have not done any of the homework assignments, yet but I do plan on it.
Learning about perspective and how to get it from real life onto paper is honestly very fascinating to me. My brain has not quite grasped it. The results I get from my hybrid (lazy yet wanting) mind are pleasing to me, however. So the style that's coming through is okay with me.
And lastly this week, I've had some fun in my bullet journal, with next week's layout. My bullet journal is my most consistent opportunity to add creativity to my week. If I don't get to my little corner for creating, I know I will at least be laying out a new week in my journal.
This week (well, for next week) I was inspired by my Archer & Olive pens because I just LOVE this blue and green together! I also love the painty feel of the acrylograph pens. Grabbed a few rolls of washi to play with. And used a bit of inspiration from my Oracle reading for the week:
