Safety Coupled with the Beauty Is the Top Priority.

In any constructions, we usually see signages like: Safety first, Safety is our priority, Always wear your hard hat or the like. These notices are intended for the safety of workers and also for other people who might be passing by or through the building.

My fellow Hivers, this blog is made despite difficult situation during the hospitalization of my mother-in-law. In fact, as of this moment of writing, she's still fighting between life and death at the ICU. But no matter how sad and stressed I am, I still find time to see things in a normal setting, observing the things around me. So, please come with me as I travel from our lodging house to the hospital and vice versa.

Scenes Along the Way

Usually, it takes ten to fifteen minutes travel from Mambaling, Cebu City to Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center- Cebu City. That's why, there's always an opportunity for me to see the different towering buildings. But this time, my focus is on the safety and beauty in the construction of the different structures.

While the taxi we're in was in a Stop light, I got the chance to capture photos of the things that I was thinking of. Then, I noticed the moving elevators and looked carefully what they do for the construction. I've noticed something.

The elevators are working for the fast delivery of construction materials in any storey of the building. They're also needed for the ease of access of the workers. Had it not for these facilities, I think the construction of a huge building would require several years when all things are done manually.

If you've noticed, there are safety measures in each building. There are G.I. pipes enclosing some portions on the danger of the high sides so as to keep the workers safe from falling. Other facilities like using of tents to cover the area that is facing the sun, to protect the workers from the intense heat of the sun.

Then, I've noticed equipments on top of the building. Stunned, but I've realized that they are indispensable for the ongoing work. Cranes are mounted to lift heavy materials that can't be placed inside the elevator. That equipment makes the difficult work easier and faster.

Here, you can see that safety is given the top priority in each building. But, safety is coupled with the beauty. It's a two-way benefit, like this one here. The tall building's structural beauty is, for me, stunning. It's different from the rest of the buildings I've shared above. This building is here below.

The Structure that Caught My Focus

This building is just few meters away from Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center. It's just in front of the carenderias where we buy food for our patient's watcher so as to give her food in addition to the food ration in the hospital.

Everytime I look at the building from the bottom to the top, I'm really stunned at its elegant design. The stainless steel on the lower portion clearly serves as walls or can also be fences to protect and reinforce the structure and at the same time adds beauty and uniqueness to the building that it looks so amazing. But, I'm not sure of what really it is for.

This is Eddie Gaisano Building where you can find City Soho Mall where I didn't got the chance to explore inside considering the reason why I got the chance to have these photos.

The Realization

No matter how sad our situation maybe, writing and blogging can be an activity that can help us- in one way or another- ease our pain and sadness. Comparatively, like the strength and beauty of the structures that I've shown you, we also must take care and strengthen our health in order to avoid sickness and maintain the beauty of our health to avoid- if possible- any hospitalizations.

I think I need to end my features here. Thank you for reading until this part. Wishing and hoping for the best of our health. See you again on my next blog.
