Me,myself and I

I love traveling, way back when I was still single I worked in a research company and most of my job was traveling. I traveled all around Visayas and Mindanao already for almost six years. After I went to seminary and dedicated to serving God I seldom do it. Now I travel together with my buddy of course it's my husband and my family.
This time I came to realize that I was always in my comfort zone. Traveling with our vehicle is comfortable. I was afraid to travel alone right now and don't like to take buses anymore.

Welcome to Sibonga

I purposely planned it this week but it takes time and confidence. when I asked my hubby about my plan he agreed to it directly. He cannot come with me as he is a teacher in Senior high School.
My sister kept laughing at me if I could do it alone. So I prepare everything for my husband's food and after he goes to school I prepare myself to go somewhere.
I asked God's guidance to bring me to a place where I could relax.

I rode a bus going to the south of Cebu and when the conductor asked me where Am I going I answered to Dalaguete.
Yes, it's the only place that came to my mind and remember that there is a hidden spring near the highway.

As the bus took me there the weather also went with me, it was not hot but it was gloomy. My husband asked me if I bring an umbrella because it was raining already in our place. As I looked outside the bus I could see in the glass window that rain showers outside. I took an air-conditioned bus and it was getting colder inside.

We pass through the municipalities of San Fernando, Carcar, Sibonga, and Argao. The drivers take their lunch at the Dacasia bus stop. Some passengers take their lunch too. I took a picture of the big Acacia tree near the National Highway.

After a few minutes, we continue our trip. It was 77 kilometers from the City of Naga my hometown, and paid 160 pesos for the fare.
By 11:30 in the morning, I arrived at the boundary of Dalaguete and the first barangay that belongs to Alcoy the next municipality. I missed the corner where I was supposed to stop. But I thank a man who helped me ride a tricycle going back and brings into the Spring. I laughed at myself silently but it was the start of my many adventures.

As the tricycle driver brought me to the entrance I paid only ten pesos and rode a little more before reaching the spring. I paid the driver and said thank you for bringing me to this place. As I took a peek at the place I was very happy that all alone I was here.

The place is called "Obong Spring" a cool freshwater spring from a century-old Dakit tree that made it into a pool located at the mouth of the beach. the water is so clear and during high tide the water becomes briny yet the spring from the Dakit continues to flow. As I asked some locals the place was a place to hide from Moro pirate's attack.

Spring came from

People on Saturdays and Sundays fill the place since it has a cheap entrance fee and the water is so cold.

I sit on an empty chair since only a few came to visit. I was tempted to take my shoes off and get into the water. As the water touched my feet I felt colder, I took more minutes in that position and watched the small fish in the water. I was here when I was 10 years old and the place was fully developed already.

I stayed a little longer and enjoyed the coldness of the water. It was a good thing that sometimes being alone in a place like this gives us more peace inside of us and time to be with myself. I love doing this again maybe not often but I will take time for it. Have you experience also traveling alone? Comment down below, so excited to read your comments.
That would be all today, thank you for joining me on my adventure alone but not lonely. See you on my next adventure.
