Michael Wolf - Benghazi Blues, or the Ballad of Sean Smith

Michael Wolf - Benghazi Blues, or the Ballad of Sean Smith - In this episode, Pete A Turner is joined by Michael Wolf, a political pundit and a musician who loves the blues.

Michael Wolf’s nephew was killed in the 2012 Benghazi attacks on American facilities in Libya. In that attack, the US lost Ambassador Christopher Stevens, along with Navy SEALs Ty Woods and Glen Doherty.

Unhappy with the results of several investigations and the actions of the US government, Michael decided to do something about it and sparked an investigation. Along with former US representative Frank Wolf, they established a select committee to investigate and report on the attack on the United States consulate in Benghazi, Libya. Their story was captured in the movie 13 Hours.

Ultimately, the Benghazi situation remains unresolved and nothing will bring back the 4 men that lost their lives and Michael has no problem calling out those responsible.

Michael Wolf is also a music lover, he has a blues band called “The Instigators” and we hear his thoughts on how music has evolved in the past years and how young people start to embrace blues once more.
