Beer Tasting: Northern Monk Heathen & Ceres Hempiness

Hello, beer tasters! 🍻 😎 🍻

What's new? Nothing special here, crypto is in a hypnotic slumber and the real world is changing fast, I hope we are not caught in some kind of loop but that we will go up.
Well, while that's going on, here's the oldest contest on the HIVE Blockchain to follow, because it's nothing but fun. 😁

Behold, for this #beersaturday (278 in a row) two beers have shown up, one English, one Danish, and it would be a sin not to try them and write a few lines.

First, those with less alcohol.

🍻 😎 🍻 😎 🍻

Ceres Hempiness

Brewed by Royal Unibrew, Faxe, Denmark.
Can, 0.5 l, alcohol 5.0% ABV. It's a Lager-style beer.

What do master brewers say?

Light beer with golden reflections with hemp seed extract. Its unique character immediately emerges the unmistakable and soft aroma of hemp. With a fresh and drinkable taste with a herbaceous, natural, and enveloping aftertaste, the fragrance of Ceres Hempiness accompanies and enriches the drinking experience, giving a feeling of freshness to this clear lager with golden reflections. With a herbaceous aftertaste, it is one of the most drinkable and thirst-quenching beers of the Ceres family. It does not contain CBD nor THC.
Ingredients: water, barley malt, natural hemp flavoring, hop extract, hemp seed extract, yeast.

No CBD, no THC? Just hemp seed flavoring? And that's why I took it :( πŸ€”

The beer is a clear, light yellow color, and the head is solid but disappears quickly.
The beer goes down the throat smoothly, with no malt sweetness, hop bitterness only in the sample, a citrus aroma in the mouth, probably lemon, and also a hemp aroma, still quite pronounced, which lingers for some time in the aftertaste.

In the main, a combination of citrus and grassy/weed flavours predominates. In fact, it's not so bad, you could drink it in the summer for refreshment. But at least it could contain CBD, then it could be marketed as medicinal, but nothing like this. The taste of the weed itself sucks anyway, that's probably why they added the citrus.

Well, as I said, maybe I could keep it in the fridge in the summer to offer it to someone as a kind of exotic.

Let's move on. Yes, Halloween is this weekend. It's celebrated here by the younger people. But I do not.

But here I have one picture of a beer trailer. It's from a technical inspection with us. A good friend of mine bought it in the Netherlands. He decided to change his lifestyle, he was an accountant until now, and now he is going to use a beer trailer to offer beer at events and probably something else.

You can guess who his beer advisor will be. :) 🍻 😁 😎

I think it'll be very interesting (I'll be retired soon) to go around to live events, selling beer and discussing with different people.

Northern Monk Heathen Hazy IPA

Brewed by Northern Monk Brew Co., Leeds, West Yorkshire, England.
Can, pint, 0.44 l, alcohol 7.2% ABV, 30 IBU. It's NEIPA, New England IPA, or Hazy IPA style, with intense fruit flavors and aromas, less bitter than classic IPAs.

And what do master brewers say?

One for the late night and hazy mornings. All Citra India Pale Ale. No matter how quickly and often we brew our flagship NEIPA Heathen, we struggle to stop it from disappearing from our shelves, and it’s always a bit of an occasion when it’s back. Features the classic tropical fruit riot of Citra and Mosaic, plus a touch of peppery pine from Columbus.

It doesn't sound too cheerful, there's no self-praise, as usual, I'm just curious.

The beer is cloudy yellow, the head is solid but disappears quickly. It smells of fresh malt and citrus.
It flows quickly down the throat, first I taste the bitterness of the hops, then citrus, tropical fruit and pine aromas develop.
The hop bitterness lingers in the aftertaste for a while, but everything else quickly disappears.

Very good. Pronounced flavors and aromas, but never too much. Not a beer to drink, but to enjoy. There is just enough alcohol not to need to go on. I would like to keep it in the fridge. Unfortunately, it's not available here.
Well, maybe it will be?

🍻 😎 🍻 😎 🍻

And what am I listening to as I write this? Nothing from the last #newtunes post.

One of my favourite bands KGLW (King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizzard) has released a new album (you won't believe it, the third one this month, yes, this month, not year) and I'm listening to it.

KGLW - Gondii

Thank you for your attention!
