Beer tasting / My experience tasting Honey Beer

Hello dear friends, I haven't been here for a while, but I want to share with you a wonderful experience tasting craftbeers.

In recent times there has been a boom in the production and consumption of craft beers. This has brought the opportunity to enjoy different flavors and aromas.

A couple of days ago, I attended a beer tasting. What is it about? It is an event where you taste different beers, and a specialized person describes the beverage. At the tasting, they don't serve large quantities of beer. They are served in small glasses to taste various types of beer and evaluate their attributes. Another important characteristic for tasting beers is to accompany this beverage with food that achieves a perfect pairing, that is to say, that enhances the flavor of the beer you are tasting.

In my country, although the culture of beer production and consumption is not more than a hundred years old, the last few years have been very prolific for the production of craft beers.

Today I want to tell you about the beer "Peregrina Honey Light". This drink is refreshing, light, and has a sweet and floral aroma. It is a beer to which honey is added in its conditioning phase. Therefore, at the first sip, the beer has a slightly bitter taste, but in the aftertaste, you are left with the flavor of honey. It is an exquisite sensation.

The beer "Peregrina Honey Light" has only 3.5ยบ of alcohol, so when served cold, you can drink several beers without worrying about a hangover ๐Ÿ˜‚.

This beer is a large type with an IBU between 10-15 and an SRM 3 color, typical of blonde beers.

To enhance the texture, flavor, and aroma of this beer, it is recommended to pair it with citrus fruits, fish or seafood, and salads, so that was part of our meal.

These are blue cheese bruschettas with tomato confit and orange segments. When you eat them with "Peregrina Honey Light" beer, it cleanses your palate and leaves a pleasant honey aroma in your mouth.

It is a lettuce salad with strawberries, almonds, and yogurt dressing with grilled salmon. The slight bitterness of this beer compliments the tartness and salty flavor this salad brings. It is mind-blowing.

In the case of this tuna tartar with avocado, when accompanied with the beer "Peregrina Honey Light", it cleanses your palate of the unctuous sensation of this fruit and the omega oils of the tuna, it is a good combination.

I was delighted with this beer, so I will buy several to experiment with other foods at home. Maybe I will prepare a dessert with it and take advantage of its delicious honey aroma, but without losing that light bitterness and carbonation typical of a good beer.
