Ya estoy en mis últimos días de clase, pero esta vez se siente diferente ya que la etapa de liceo está completamente terminada, dentro de las ultimas evaluaciones que nos mandaron está la de hacer una maqueta acerca del desarrollo embrionario del pollo, esto sería a base de masa flexible, como sé que el proceso es muy interesante no pensé dos veces en documentar como haríamos todo esto, así que quédense para ver que tal nos fue a mí amiga Rocío haciendo esta complicada pero entretenida actividad!
Esta maqueta la haríamos la mitad de salón en grupo, habíamos quedado de reunirnos en la casa de un compañero este lunes en la mañana para hacerla, ese día me desperté súper temprano para estar allá a tiempo, aun así terminé saliendo de mi casa un poquito tardé jejeje, cuando llegamos me percaté que de los 19 que conformábamos el grupo solo estábamos 5, lo bueno es que no se nos haría tan difícil el realizarla ya que contábamos con la mamá de uno de nuestros compañeros la cual nos ayudaría un poco. Como les comenté, esta maqueta sería sobre pollos, así que tendríamos que hacer el proceso del desarrollo del pollito cuando está formándose. Para esto cada uno haría un pollito bebé de diferente tamaño y formas para demostrar como este iba evolucionando al momento de la gestación.

I am already in my last days of class, but this time it feels different because the high school stage is completely finished, among the last evaluations that we were sent is to make a model about the embryonic development of the chicken, this would be based on flexible dough, as I know that the process is very interesting I did not think twice to document how we would do all this, so stay to see how we did my friend Rocio doing this complicated but entertaining activity!
This model would be made by half of the class as a group, we had arranged to meet at a classmate's house this Monday morning to do it, that day I woke up super early to be there on time, even so I ended up leaving my house a little late hehehehe, when we arrived I realized that of the 19 that made up the group we were only 5, the good thing is that we would not be so difficult to do it because we had the mother of one of our classmates which would help us a little. As I told you, this model would be about chickens, so we would have to make the process of chick development when it is forming. For this, each of us would make a baby chick of different sizes and shapes to show how it was evolving at the time of gestation.

Para llevarlo a cabo teníamos a mano la masa flexible, algunas temperas de muchos colores y un montón de artefactos para moldear con facilidad, les cuento que yo no tenía idea de cómo hacer para que me salieran bien las formas, mi amiga rocío tampoco sabía mucho, pero poco a poco íbamos aprendiendo y moldeando nuestra masa flexible para que nos saliera lo más parecida a la foto de la cual nos estábamos guiando.
To carry it out we had at hand the flexible dough, some temperas of many colors and a lot of artifacts to mold easily, I tell you that I had no idea how to do to get the shapes right, my friend Rocío did not know much either, but little by little we were learning and molding our flexible dough so that it came out as close as possible to the photo from which we were being guided.

Mientras nosotros nos tardábamos una eternidad dándole forma a la masa, otro compañero hacía los pollitos súper rápido y mil veces mejor que los de nosotros jajaja, como era tan bueno lo pusieron a hacer una gallina que también formaba parte la maqueta. Para ordenar todos los pollitos usaríamos un cuadro de vidrio como base, considero que este vidrio le daría un acabado bastante lindo a la maqueta ya que usualmente utilizamos cartón cuando hacemos estas actividades escolares. También usaríamos unos palillos que servirían como soporte para que la masa flexible no se cayera, pero para poner todo en su lugar debíamos hacer todos los pollitos primero.
While we took forever shaping the dough, another classmate made the chicks super fast and a thousand times better than ours hahaha, as he was so good they put him to make a chicken that was also part of the model. To order all the chicks we would use a glass box as a base, I think this glass would give a nice finish to the model since we usually use cardboard when we do these school activities. We would also use some sticks that would serve as a support so that the flexible dough would not fall, but to put everything in its place we had to make all the chicks first.

En este proceso duramos aproximadamente como dos horas, dándole forma a la masa para lograr que nos quedaran unos fetos de pollo perfectos jajaja, la verdad pensé que pasaríamos mucho más tiempo armando todo, pero definitivamente cuando tenemos ayuda todo se hace mucho más sencillo y eso que faltaron la mayoría de compañeros que formaban el grupo. Después de tener listos todos los fetos se nos ocurrió hacer un pollito eclosionado, es decir, cuando sale del huevo, esto para mostrar el proceso de una forma completa.
Me siento muy orgulloso de cómo nos quedó todo porque enseñamos de una manera muy divertida y completa la forma en la que se desarrollan los pollos. Ahora solo queda ordenar todo en su lugar para entregar la tarea este jueves, sin duda sería increíble mostrarles cómo se verá la maqueta en la feria de ciencias que vendrá en unos días y que por supuesto les documentaré! Por los momentos me despido muy feliz de haberles compartido todo la preparación de esta divertida actividad escolar. Nos vemos la próxima amigos, adiós!
In this process we lasted about two hours, shaping the dough to achieve that we had perfect chicken fetuses hahaha, I really thought we would spend much more time putting everything together, but definitely when we have help everything becomes much easier and that most of our colleagues who were part of the group were missing. After having all the fetuses ready, we decided to make a hatched chick, that is, when it comes out of the egg, to show the process in a complete way.
I feel very proud of how everything turned out because we showed in a very fun and complete way how chicks develop. Now we just have to put everything in its place to hand in the homework this Thursday, it would be amazing to show you how the model will look like in the science fair that will come in a few days and of course I will document it for you!
