Last Friday I attended the face-to-face casting for the Mis & Mister Turismo Lara 2024. It was not to participate. My age and physique are not in conditions.
The casting was held in what is now called Casa Bonita in Barquisimeto. There is an office of the Lara State Tourism Corporation and I liked that the house was restored. It is part of the historic center of the city and in the past it was in poor condition. I gave theater classes there, when it was the headquarters of the Friends of Barquisimeto Foundation and they gave me their facilities for the workshops.
El viernes pasado asistí al casting presencial para el Mis & Mister Turismo Lara 2024. No fue para participar. Mi edad y físico no están en condiciones.
El casting se realizó en lo que ahora se llama Casa Bonita en Barquisimeto. Allí funciona una oficina de la Corporación de Turismo del Estado Lara y me gustó que la casa fuera restaurada. Forma parte del casco histórico de la ciudad y en el pasado estaba en malas condiciones. Di clases de teatro en ese lugar, cuando era la sede de la Fundación Amigos de Barquisimeto y me cedieron sus instalaciones para los talleres.
The Miss and Mister Tourism is a prestigious contest in the country. The regional director Leahndro Andueza is in charge of the organization of the event in the state of Lara. She has a team of professionals to carry out the search for the next representatives of beauty and tourism in the region, who will then participate in the contest at the national level.
The contest opens the door to many opportunities for its participants. Venezuela is a country that is characterized by the quality of its beauty contests and always exporting misses that achieve great success in international contests. It is necessary to highlight the positive elements of the country and this type of event is something where Venezuela always stands out.
El Miss y Mister Turismo es un concurso prestigioso en el país. La directora regional Leahndro Andueza es la encargada de la organización del evento en el estado Lara. Cuenta con un equipo de profesionales para llevar a cabo la búsqueda de los próximos representantes de la belleza y el turismo en la región, que luego participarán en el concurso a nivel nacional.
El certamen abre la puerta a muchas oportunidades para sus participantes. Venezuela es un país que se caracteriza por la calidad de sus concursos de belleza y siempre exportando mises que alcanzan logran mucho éxito en certámenes internacionales. Es necesario resaltar los elementos positivos del país y este tipo de eventos es algo donde Venezuela siempre se destaca.
In this first casting, the team evaluating the participants was formed by Leahndro Andueza, director of the contest in Lara. Abel Moreno, representative of La Flor de Venezuela and also part of the organizing committee of the contest and the beautiful Ariana Flores, who was the winner of Miss Tourism Lara in 2018. They were in charge of evaluating the catwalk, the performance and capabilities of the young contestants.
Not only beauty is sought, as the very name of the contest refers to tourism. The Miss and Mister will be representatives of Venezuelan Tourism. That is why one of the key questions was their opinion about tourism, what would be their contribution in the sector to improve it.
En este primer casting, el equipo evaluador de las participantes estuvo conformado por Leahndro Andueza, director del certamen en Lara. Abel Moreno, representante de La Flor de Venezuela y también parte del comité organizador del concurso y la hermosa Ariana Flores, quien fue la ganadora del Miss Turismo Lara en 2018. Ellos fueron los encargados de evaluar la pasarela, el desenvolvimiento y capacidades de las jóvenes concursantes.
No solo se busca la belleza, pues el mismo nombre del concurso hace referencia al turismo. La Miss y el Mister serán representantes del Turismo venezolano. Por eso una de las preguntas claves fue su opinión sobre el turismo, cuál sería su aporte en el sector para mejorarlo.

Some of the participants were very nervous. This is normal. Nerves before a casting are always present, but they dissipated quickly. All the participants made a good presentation and at the end they were very confident. They did their catwalk, took pictures with the media present and the models were very polite. Something that will surely be taken into account. Freshness and confidence are very important factors in a world as competitive as that of beauty pageants.
There are still pending other casting to select all the contestants to the contest, I will bring you more details about Miss and Mister Tourism Lara. All those who are from the city of Barquisimeto and want to participate, are still on time.
Algunos de los participantes estaban muy nerviosos. Es normal. Los nervios antes de un casting siempre están presentes, pero se disiparon rápidamente. Todos los participantes hicieron una buena presentación y al final se mostraron muy seguros de sí mismos. Hicieron su pasarela, se hicieron fotos con los medios de comunicación presentes y las modelos fueron muy educadas. Algo que seguramente se tendrá en cuenta. La frescura y la confianza son factores muy importantes en un mundo tan competitivo como el de los concursos de belleza.
Quedan pendientes otros casting para seleccionar a todos los partipantes al certamen, ya les traeré más detalles sobre Miss y Mister Turismo Lara . Todos aquellos que sean de la ciudad de Barquisimeto y quieran participar, aún están a tiempo.
