Good morning hivers. How are you all doing today? Hope you are well? Welcome to my blog. I'll be writing on how to manage stress and practices for the mind.
Stress can be defined as a situation when the body responds to the pressure and demands it get physically and emotionally. Stress can be caused by a lot such as the major life events that happen in everyday life, work, school, having difficulty in finances, having problem in relationships with your fellow people or someone close.
When a human body is stressed , it releases hormones like adrenaline and cortisol and when these hormones are released they react by sending physical symptoms to the body like headache, difficulty in digestion and maybe the tension of the muscles.
There are also emotional symptoms it might send to the body such as anxiety; stress can make a person anxious, one can easily get irritated and this one really happens a lot; depression.
I will be sharing with us tips that could help in managing stress. If stress is not managed properly it could lead to chronic stress , and chronic stress can lead to serious health issues like high blood pressure and the disease of the heart and it can also lead to death.
I'll also be writing about how to go about mindfulness practices. Here are the tips:
You have to recognize the signs you get when you are stressed and try to identify what triggers it.
Practice how to always take in deep breaths, let it be normal for you to do deep breathing and also engage in relaxation excercise. For example the "progressive muscle relaxation." This exercise involves tensing and relaxing different muscle groups in your body.
Utilizing visualization techniques to calm your mind. This means you have to imagine and create positive images in your mind. This can really help with managing stress because your focus on negative things and worries will shift.
Learning to set healthy boundaries and also when to say no. Setting healthy boundaries means to identify the need of your body at a time and learn how to communicate clearly. If at a time your body needs rest you need to learn how to stop everything at that time and go give your body some rest. Learn to say no.
Getting enough sleep and exercise to reduce stress. Sleep is essential to keep the body to rest. One needs to take time to sleep and also excercise regularly to reduce stress.
Taking time for yourself to recharge and also do things you enjoy. Taking time for yourself to recharge is very important for managing stress and also avoid break down. It's essential that once in awhile, even if it's 15 minutes each day for a person to relax and do some self-care and also relax. Also do the things you enjoy doing, even if it's sleeping, do it.
Building a support system of friends and family who can help you cope. You need who can always offer their support, advise and a listening ear to hear and give solutions to their problem whenever they are stressed.
