MI PRIMER DÍA EN LA UNIVERSIDAD

Ha sido una excelente semana, siempre trato de mantenerme positivo ante las adversidades y ver las cosas a través del optimismo. El día de hoy vengo a contarles algo muy importante para mí, y además enseñarles unas lindas fotos de mi miércoles, pues resulta que el miércoles 11 de octubre fue oficialmente mi inicio a clases en la universidad, ¡acompáñenme!

It's been a great week, I always try to stay positive in the face of adversity and see things through optimism. Today I'm here to tell you about something very important to me, and also to show you some nice pictures of my Wednesday, as it turns out that Wednesday October 11th was officially my start of classes at the university, so please join me!
Este miércoles fue mi segundo “primer día”, pues anteriormente estuve en una universidad pero no me sentía motivado y al final dejé esos estudios. Estuve esperando unos cuantos meses para por fin iniciar en la nueva universidad, ahora estudiando Administración mención Mercadeo, misma carrera que cursó mi madre y, confieso, me hace sentir muy feliz seguir sus pasos académicos, pues mi mamá es una de mis inspiraciones en cuanto a inteligencia.
Se podrán imaginar lo nervioso que estaba de empezar de nuevo a la universidad, los primeros días siempre son un tanto extraños, está esa mezcla de miedo y entusiasmo por empezar esta nueva experiencia. La verdad es que llegué y me sentí muy relajado, no voy a mentir, nada comparado con mi primera vez en la anterior universidad, pues en ese entonces la timidez no me abandonaba, y esta vez fue el caso contrario.
This Wednesday was my second "first day", because previously I was in a university but I did not feel motivated and in the end I left those studies. I have been waiting a few months to finally start at the new university, now I am studying Marketing Management, the same career that my mother studied and, I confess, it makes me feel very happy to follow her academic steps, because my mom is one of my inspirations in terms of intelligence.
You can imagine how nervous I was to start college again, the first days are always a little strange, there is that mixture of fear and enthusiasm to start this new experience. The truth is that I arrived and I felt very relaxed, I'm not going to lie, nothing compared to my first time at the previous university, because back then shyness did not leave me, and this time it was the opposite.

Me encuentro estudiando Mercadeo, como mencioné anteriormente, al igual que mi mamá y mi tía, en la misma universidad. La Universidad Nacional Experimental Simón Rodríguez, abreviada UNESR, ofrece una gran variedad de carreras, por ejemplo, la sede en Maturín de esta universidad ofrece Educación, Medicina Veterinaria y Administración mención Recursos humanos, pero de verdad que la que llamó mayormente mi atención fue Mercadeo.
Dato curioso, el prócer que da nombre a la universidad tiene mi mismo apellido, jajaja. En la institución hay varios tributos a él, retratos en los salones, paredes con sus pensamientos y escritos, incluso un busto al que no dudé en sacarle foto para compartir con ustedes.
I am studying Marketing, as I mentioned before, as well as my mother and my aunt, at the same university. The "Universidad Nacional Experimental Simón Rodríguez", abbreviated UNESR, offers a great variety of careers, for example, the Maturín branch of this university offers Education, Veterinary Medicine and Administration with mention in Human Resources, but the one that really caught my attention was Marketing.
Curious fact, the hero who gives his name to the university has the same last name as me, hahaha. In the institution there are several tributes to him, portraits in the classrooms, walls with his thoughts and writings, even a bust that I did not hesitate to take a picture to share with you.

Al principio sentía nervios por cómo serían los profesores, mis compañeros, el resto de las personas en la universidad, pero, acá entre nos, llegué avergonzándome a mí mismo, y luego de eso la pena se me fue. Les cuento que llegué temprano a la clase, pero ya había comenzado, todos estaban sentados prestando atención a la profesora, es decir, interrumpí la clase para poder pasar. Lo gracioso no es eso, sino que estuve 20 minutos en la clase equivocada, pues la mía aún no había empezado, esto debido a que llegué muy temprano, jajaja, luego de eso nada me podía dar más pena y dejé los nervios y la ansiedad social de lado para prestar atención a clases.
De tres clases que tuve ese día, solo vi una, pues los otros profesores no aparecieron, lo que no me extraño porque las primeras semanas pasan este tipo de cosas. Ya tengo tarea pendiente y, por extraño que suene, me hace feliz tener que hacer un trabajo larguísimo y, además, prepararme para discutir dicho trabajo la próxima semana. Debo mencionar a todos los compañeros con los que me llevé genial, como Kryz, María, Manuel, Shara, Saraí, Michelle, Angelina, con quienes espero pasar un semestre de maravilla. Además, la única profesora que nos dio clases fue súper buena onda, nos enseñó un poco de las normas y nos explicó cómo funciona el sistema de evaluaciones en la universidad.
At first I was nervous about what the professors, my classmates, the rest of the people at the university would be like, but, between us, I arrived embarrassing myself, and after that the embarrassment went away. I tell you that I arrived early to class, but it had already started, everyone was sitting there paying attention to the professor, that is, I interrupted the class to get through. The funny thing is not that, but I was 20 minutes in the wrong class, because mine had not yet started, this because I arrived very early, hahaha, after that nothing could give me more grief and I left my nerves and social anxiety aside to pay attention to class.
Out of three classes I had that day, I only saw one, because the other professors didn't show up, which didn't surprise me because the first weeks this kind of things happen. I already have homework due and, as strange as it sounds, it makes me happy to have to do a very long paper and, moreover, prepare to discuss said paper next week. I must mention all the classmates with whom I got along great, like Kryz, Maria, Manuel, Shara, Sarai, Michelle, Angelina, with whom I hope to have a wonderful semester. Also, the only teacher who gave us classes was super cool, she taught us a bit of the rules and explained how the evaluation system works at the university.

En conclusión, fue un primer día asombroso, un tanto caluroso pero nada que una buena hidratación no mejore. Además de eso, casi olvido mencionarles que unas amigas que estuvieron el día de la inscripción SÍ se dieron cuenta que tenía el mismo outfit, jajaja, lo tomé con mucho humor y pues sí, yo estaba consciente que llevaba la misma ropa que ese día, pero mi mamá me dijo que nadie se daría cuenta y yo pensé “Es cierto, ¿cuál es la probabilidad?”… el universo me sorprendió.
Es refrescante empezar a hacer algo nuevo, en especial cuando este ”algo” te ayudará a crecer como persona y adquirir conocimientos. Estoy más que listo para esta nueva etapa de mi vida, llena de personas maravillosas, experiencias memorables y mucho aprendizaje. Muchas gracias por pasar leyendo acerca de mi primer día en la universidad, estoy muy entusiasmado y espero traer muchos más cuentos al respecto. ¡Disfruten de su fin de semana!
In conclusion, it was an amazing first day, a bit hot but nothing that a good hydration won't improve. Besides that, I almost forgot to mention that some friends who were there the day of registration YES they noticed that I had the same outfit, hahaha, I took it with a lot of humor and yes, I was aware that I was wearing the same clothes as that day, but my mom told me that no one would notice and I thought "That's true, what are the odds"... the universe surprised me.
It's refreshing to start doing something new, especially when this "something" will help you grow as a person and gain knowledge. I am more than ready for this new stage of my life, full of wonderful people, memorable experiences and a lot of learning.
