When I was in Buenos Aires, the beautiful Argentine capital, I made sure to visit La Boca. This district is probably the most famous and most colorful. After arrival we did a guided walking tour around the main street Caminito. A great way of getting a history lesson. After the tour we explored the streets by our selves. The whole district is full of colors and street art. We startet at the harbor where she gave us a history lesson and then walked through the center to the Boca Juniors Stadium - Bombonera. If you are a football fan, you have to visit the stadium and the museum. As I am not a football fan, I only looked at the stadium from the outside.
In the streets between the street named Caminito and The Boca Junior stadium, we came across this painting of a mother and daughter. The colors of the Boca Junior are yellow and blue. This mother and daughter are dressed in the colors of the football team.
In another street not too far from the stadium, we found these portraits. Not everyone is equally famous. Even the names are written above the portraits, I don't really know who they are. But Evita and Lionel Messi were probably the ones we knew best. Evita was once the first Lady of Argentina and Lionel Messi the footballer who helped Argentina win the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Although I am not particularly interested in football, it was fun to experience how the Argentinans were still celebrating the victory when we arrived Buenos Aires just a few weeks later.
