STREET ART #129 – New work in Karolinelund (Aalborg, Denmark)

01.jpg

Recently I was on a short vacation in Aalborg, northern Denmark to visit family. I was lucky to come across quite a lot of new street art. My mother lives only a few minutes from a park called Karolinelund. A park which usually has a lot of grafitti. The whole place has been under renovation for at least a year and for that reason some areas have been closed to the public. This former amusement park is a place where outdoor concerts are held. We were here a saturday afternoon. The night before there had been concert at night (we could hear it from her place)

After passing the outdoor stage, we passed the containers and mobile toilets used during the concert. Several of them have nice motifs. All has symbols connected to music.

On this mobile toilet, it is not easy to see the doors. At the end wall you will find sinks. On the white sign it says "shake your hands and protect the environment. We have dropped paper towels". On the oposite site these doors has got another beautiful portrait.

The concrete wall that goes all the way around the park, has graffiti all over. There isn't any empty spot anymore. Most of it is lettering, but in between I do sometimes find some really nice paintings. When I saw the portrait, I noticed something familier about that face. Who do you think it is?
