Cityscape – Marina Bay in Singapore (9 photos)

DSC_01.JPG

A few years ago I was in Singapore, which was really only a stopover for a couple of days before I traveled on. Because of a long journey, it was a great way to get a couple of days before to get a rest and a good sleep. What I found perhaps more exciting than I had expected was the area around Marina Bay. You can say a lot of less nice things about skyscrapers and luxury hotels, but somehow both the hotel and the skyscrapers fit in here. The hotel is Marina Bay Sands, which has a somewhat special architecture.

Our walk started in front of the Fullerton hotel on the oposite side of Marina Bay Sands and took us to the Helix Bridge. A pedestian bridge that will take you to the hotel. It has a construction of curved steel that doen't look like anything else I have ever seen! It grew darker as we walked around the bay and ended up too dark to take photos.
