BookFest, Brisbane Convention and Exhibition centre, Queensland, Australia.

BookFest is a yearly event held in a the Convention centre in town, it is run by the Lifeline charity organization. This not for profit organisation have many second hand shops around Brisbane and Australia which is run mainly off donations. So once per year they get all the books sent to this one central location. Entry is free and there is some thing for everyone. The tables are sorted into categories, like travel and cooking but in no real order you pretty much have to sort through everything if want to find some interesting but that is half the fun!

The set up is divided into three sections. 1 - Comics, 2 - high value where everything has prices as marked and then 3 - this any book for $2.50. Prices seem a bit expensive to me but I suppose it would be costly to set up and run and it is for charity.

It was such a nice day we parked the car a Kangaroo point Cliffs and walked into town. This also meant we could spend more on books and not pay for parking.
