A visit to Seto Gumba (The White Monastery) Kathmandu, Nepal

It was the end of January 2012, the sky in Kathmandu valley was clear blue with not a single cloud in sight. Me and my brother decided to go out in such beautiful weather. It was raining for a while, and this was the first day after the rain stop. We both decided to go to the white monastery, which was located on a north-west hill nearby Swayambhunath Stupa in Kathmandu.

We drove an hour from our home and reached there by around 11 am. No public buses go there. You should have your vehicle or can get a taxi to go there. When we arrived there, I loved to be there. It was peaceful and quiet. It was away from the crowded city. I felt happier when we knew that it was free entry. I can see the whole Kathmandu valley from the white monastery. There were statues of Gautam Buddha. All the buildings were maintained well. I can see different types of flowers there. We stayed there for an hour and returned back to our home.
