Cycling through Barcelona - Torres Venecianes

Imagine a boulevard 100 meters wide.
Imagine the central lanes of the boulevard dedicated only to cyclists.
Imagine that this boulevard leads through one of the most beautiful gates of the city.
Imagine feeling like you're conquering the city every time you pass this boulevard.

And that's the feeling of riding a bike through Barcelona :)

The path leads through the Torres Venecianes (Venetian Towers), a pair of beautiful towers in the Poble Sec district of Barcelona. They were built way back in 1873 by Francesc Berenguer and Mestre. Typically Spanish, they were originally intended as an entrance to a new park that was never built.

Torres Venecianes are located in the square, Espagna surrounded by palm trees. The aforementioned incredible boulevard leads to the square, in which the central lanes are allocated to cyclists, unlike the usual traffic layout in which cyclists occupy the far right lanes of the streets.

There are some sights in the area that you simply must visit. If you are looking for a hidden gem in Barcelona, Torres Venecianes is a must see. In the immediate vicinity are the Magic Fountain (Font Màgica de Montjuïc), CaixaForum, the beautiful neighborhood of Poble Espanyol de Montjuïc and the National Museum of Catalan Art with its beautiful plaza and square.

This area is a beautiful and unique example of Barcelona's beautiful architecture with a beautiful view. Recommendations for a visit, especially for a visit by bicycle!
