En mi primer viaje a Cancún los residentes del lugar me recomendaron mucho ir a la ´´Zona Arqueológica El Rey´´ que es considerado Patrimonio Cultural de la Nación. No dudé para nada en ir pues al viajar es bueno conocer la cultura de los países a los que visitamos para entender su estilo de vida, sus tradiciones, su historia.
- On my first trip to Cancun, local residents highly recommended me to go to the ´´El Rey Archaeological Zone´´, which is considered Cultural Heritage of the Nation. I did not hesitate at all to go because when traveling it is good to know the culture of the countries we visit to understand their lifestyle, their traditions, their history.
El horario de visita es de las 8:00 am hasta las 5:00 pm con un costo de entrada de 55 pesos mexicanos (aproximadamente 4 dólares) donde pueden pagar el servicio guiado o entrar libremente. La opción de pagar por un guía es muy interesante pues te narra la historia del lugar y captando cada vez más la atención de cada visitante. Dentro de la zona el edificio más importante es el numero 2 ya que es un basamento piramidal con un templo y en él se pueden observar más de 1 etapa constructiva.
- Visiting hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with an entrance fee of 55 Mexican pesos (approximately 4 dollars) where you can pay for the guided service or enter freely. The option of paying for a guide is very interesting because it tells you the history of the place and increasingly attracts the attention of each visitor. Within the area the most important building is number 2 since it is a pyramidal base with a temple and in it you can see more than 1 construction stage.
También es de gran interés los palacios que tienen grandes galerías con columnatas que sostenían a los techos planos.

Una cosa que me llamo mucho la atención es las iguanas tan grandes y llamativas, se encuentran por todos lados, se ven muy fuertes e impresionantes.

En el área se encuentran carteles donde prohíben que los visitantes alimenten a estos impresionantes animales.

Si te animas a ir, puedes encontrarla en el kilómetro 18 del bulevar Kukulcán, en la zona hotelera de la Ciudad de Cancún frente a la playa Los Delfines. Dentro encontraras taquillas, sanitarios y áreas de descanso. Recomiendo que lleven agua, zapatos cómodos y algo con lo que protegerse del sol.
- If you dare to go, you can find it at kilometer 18 of Kukulcán Boulevard, in the hotel zone of the City of Cancún in front of Los Delfines beach. Inside you will find lockers, toilets and rest areas. I recommend that you bring water, comfortable shoes and something to protect yourself from the sun.
