[Share n burn] Today's coronavirus (COVID-19) links - March 7, 2020

Of local interest (for me), today's reported numbers include Pennsylvania's first two reported cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Of course, it's probably not a coincidence that the state just began testing a few days ago.

Other headlines include more conference cancellations, corporations who are paying employees - even hourly - to stay home, and reports of a variety of effects on commerce, markets, and tourism. Headlines also include problems with the testing rollout in the US as well as reports of progress in efforts towards unlocking vaccines and treatments.

In no particular order, here are today's links from my RSS feed. Please consider clicking through to upvote any Steem post(s) on the list.

As mentioned in previous posts, here is a visualization tool for mapping the reported cases of COVID-19 occurrences. According to the site, this morning's worldwide number of cases was 102.471 with 57,462 recoveries, 3,491 deaths, and 340 cases in the US - of which 45 are from the Diamond Princess. The US reports 8 recoveries and 14 deaths, and as testing ramps up in the state, Pennsylvania has our own first 2 reported cases, now, too.
