[Share n burn] Today's coronavirus (COVID-19) links - March 6, 2020

Today is the first day that the official total number of cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) crossed the 100,000 threshold. Of course, as always, this milestone doesn't include unreported cases from faulty data in some countries or from people with mild cases who didn't seek treatment. Other headlines include word that Apple and Google are rejecting coronavirus from "unofficial sources"; information about how businesses and people are responding to the continued spread of the virus; and some ways that science and technology are being deployed to mitigate the outbreak.

In no particular order, here are today's links from my RSS feed. Please consider clicking through to upvote any Steem post(s) on the list.

As mentioned in previous posts, here is a visualization tool for mapping the cases of COVID-19 occurrences. According to the site, this morning's worldwide number of reported cases was 100,347 with 55,753 recoveries, 3,408 fatalities, and 233 cases in the US with 45 from the Diamond Princess. As-of now, there are still no reported cases in Pennsylvania, but we see cases in neighboring New York and New Jersey, and a local lab began testing recently, so that could change at any moment.
