My Magnets On The Fridge!

Hello friends!

I thought that I don't have many collections, but I finally share one in this great community of #HiveCollectors, a cool initiative of @mipiano with many interesting posts and collections of many friends here on Hive.

I recently commented to @coolmidwestguy on his cap collection post that I don't collect many things, but a few days ago I saw @coquicoin's post about her fridge magnets, and then I realized that... I have a collection too, because I do have magnets on the fridge!

Many Magnets!

I have magnets on the fridge door, lots of them, and most or almost all of them are from trips I've made, from times living abroad... and also from trips from other relatives who have given them to me.

For those who follow my travel posts, you will see that many are from places I have shared in various posts with many photos, because in addition to those photos, I also have some souvenir magnets. And over time, quite a few. Although some of them broke due to some small incident (my little nephew who likes to see and hold them, dropped the one from Izmir, a city in Turkey), but it's okay, I'll go back there for another one. :)

As there are so many, it is difficult for me to focus on one. You will see some different ones at the top: a star, a donkey, a butterfly, a carrot, or two kinds of bugs. But many others from trips, such as a Russian Matrioska, and another magnet from Moscow, a pink one from Floripa (which is the Brazilian city of Florianópolis), one from Dubai, from beautiful Rome, from the Colorado Canyon, from Paris (there are two, another one below), the rooster from Portugal or a yellow flower from Malaysia...

We continue, a child from Mexico (the M is missing, but my nephew threw it and it broke, it's not a big deal, it's clear where he's from, from Mexico? haha), a lady from Salvador de Bahía, the stone monument of Petra, or the famous and iconic I❤️NY, from New York, obviously...

We continue, also the Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, next to a small one that simply says: "flipping", or Route 66 in the US, or one of the pretty flower pots in the flowered courtyards of Cordoba, Spain. Without forgetting an elephant from Thailand, or a toucan from the Iguaçu Falls in Brazil, between this country and Argentina actually (I will write a post about it this summer).

We continue, also the magnet that survived from Turkey, a cuckoo clock from Alsace, or a little house from Ouro Preto, a curious area of Brazil that I will also share soon... and we have the city of Toledo in Spain, and Chicago, of which I have already shared many posts and photos! And below is Chile.

We still follow a bus from London, a cow from Potes, a town in the north of Spain, Miami beach, what remains in Las Vegas was not the magnet... and of course again, in the center, imperial Rome.

We continue, here we have the city of Washington DC, Moscow, San Francisco, Marrakech, and the country of Holland with its tulips. Again we can see the Grand Canyon or Malaysia. And further down, next to another magnet of Malaysia, on the left, another city, Dresden in Germany, although it is not clearly visible in the photo.

We continue, more, here several have appeared, the rooster of Portugal, above Paris, and to the right Cambodia and the city of Prague. We have already seen those on the left before.
But below is Istanbul, the Spanish city of Nerja, a leprechaun from Ireland, and again Paris with the Eiffel Tower, oh la la!

I forgot the little star on the right, from Hollywood! And under the turtle is a card from a local cheese shop, I have to try them...

There are many, right? But which ones are my favorites?

My favorites

They are not placed in any order, either by time or location, but rather, thinking about the space that there is, or that is left... but there are a few together that I could say are my favorites.

  • The one that most of all, the one of Roma (Rome), as if it were one of those walls with history, reminds me of the beautiful eternal city, of the Italy that always inspires me and to which I always return.
  • But also Chicago, another of my favorite cities, because of my memories and awesome experiences there.
  • And another crazy and fun experience like a movie was in Las Vegas, and the magnet has that mythical phrase, I brought the anecdotes and told them, they did not stay there and now the magnet is on the refrigerator.

As you can see, there are many magnets, because there are many trips. Some of them broke, due to reasons beyond my control, some are not from my trips, but from a family member, some others are not from a trip but they also look good in the whole group, filling and decorating the fridge, which becomes very interesting before opening the door. As if we could visually condense so many memories and experiences, from so many trips and places discovered, the world is big but at the moment I can fit it on the fridge!

Thanks for reading! Have a nice and happy day.
