Nutritious Potato Roti Recipe.

Dear friends, wishing all of you a very good day! I hope you are doing well. As we wrap up one week and step into a new one, I started thinking about what to make for breakfast this morning, and it struck me — how about roti? However, instead of making the usual roti with just flour, I thought about adding some extra ingredients to enhance its nutritional value, which would make it much healthier. So, I decided to add boiled potatoes to the roti. In the vegan community, people are always creating new recipes day by day, and I wanted to share a unique way of making roti with you. This dish is perfect for both breakfast and dinner. Once the ingredients are ready, it can be prepared within just 20 minutes. Let’s dive into how to make it step by step!

Materials Used.

A large boiled potato.
Wheat flour 250g.
2 Tablespoon of pure coconut oil.
1 Teaspoon of Cumin.
A finely chopped onion.
A few finely chopped curry leaves.
Water as required.
1 Teaspoon of salt powder.
1 Teaspoon of Chili powder
1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder.

The cooking process as follows.

Now let's get ready to prepare this delicious recipe. First, take the boiled potatoes, mash them well, and set them aside.

Next, take a large bowl and add the wheat flour to it. Then, add a teaspoon of salt and mix everything well.

Now let's add water little by little to make it a liquid mixture. As in the following images.

Now, let's add finely chopped onions, chopped curry leaves, and the mashed potatoes to the dough mixture. Mix everything together thoroughly until well combined.

Now, place a separate pan on the stove and add about two tablespoons of coconut oil. Once the oil is heated, add a small amount of cumin seeds. Then, add chili powder and turmeric powder, stirring everything together. Once the mixture turns a golden brown, remove it from the heat.

Next, add the prepared spice mixture into the and mix it thoroughly. Ensure that it blends well with the and is evenly incorporated throughout. The mixture should be smooth and well combined.

Next, place a flat griddle or roti plate on the stove and lightly grease a banana leaf with some coconut oil. Once the banana leaf is slightly heated, use a spoon to spread the prepared dough mixture into a thin, round shape. Cook both sides until it turns golden brown and crisp. Continue this process for all the dough, as shown in the pictures below.
