Today we are back for the second edition of this new weekly vegan challenge YOUR VEGGIE SHOPPING, an activity that has arisen in order to know more about the shopping experience that all of you, dear users, have at stock your pantry with food either in the markets, in the various commercial establishments or directly in the field, with the producers.


Yesterday our first edition ended, and we wanted to make an exception: Even though we announced only three awards, we have decided to reward all the contestants, because they all made great participations. There were six users who joined the first week of the contest, all of them being winners. The participants are the following:

In this interesting post, @mayraro05 takes us shopping at a supermarket, where she usually goes to stock her vegetable pantry, and as the Christmas season is approaching, she took the opportunity to buy olives, capers and raisins, which without a doubt they give a special touch to all her recipes. She was the first participant in this challenge and is a winner too.

Vegan shopping at The Traditional Market | by @nurfay

In this nice post, @nurfay takes us shopping at a traditional market in his country, Indonesia, where he gets better prices and a lot of quality for his purchases. We were surprised by the great variety and freshness of the products. She is also the winner of this vegan challenge.

On this occasion, @franciscana23 takes us shopping at a supermarket in her city, where fortunately she can stock her pantry with many vegetables and grains, very fresh and varied. She tells us about the preferences in her purchases, due to her state of health, so she buys consciously to have a balanced and healthy diet. She is also the winner of this vegan challenge.

Ever since @yulia-hive got married, she made a habit of doing the weekly shopping for her home. And in this post she tells us about it and takes us for a walk to a traditional market that they do near her home, where she buys fresh products at very affordable prices, making it an ideal alternative to stock her pantry with food. She has also been a winner in this vegan challenge.

In this complete and emotional post, @elamaria takes us on a sensory walk through a vegetable fair where she usually does her vegan shopping. She also tells us about her experience with vegetarianism and how currently, even with the economic restrictions that her country is going through, she tries to incorporate vegetables into her daily diet. An excellent post that shows that even with limitations and difficulties, we can incorporate vegetables into our menu. She has also been the winner of this challenge, and we are sure that she will return to the community to share other good vegan recipes.

In this complete post, @nellyhope tells us how his adaptation process was in Peru, the country to which he emigrated from his native Venezuela. She tells us that one of her most important concerns was related to food, however, she had the pleasant experience of seeing that the agricultural markets are similar in both nations, except for the denomination of vegetables and vegetables, and she takes us shopping at one of these large markets, where she stocks her pantry with many vegetables, grains and fruits. She has also been a winner in this vegan challenge.

One of the most important activities for daily life is the purchase of food, groceries, food. Whether we go to supermarkets, or small commercial establishments, or traditional markets, or go directly to the field to acquire our basic supplies; it is a very significant activity with a deep cultural and social content, which also reflects our beliefs, priorities and customs, which is great!

And in the Plant Power (Vegan) community, we find it interesting and fun, knowing week by week, those (vegan) purchases that you make regularly to stock your pantry, your kitchen; and that is why we bring this little vegan challenge which we have called “Your Veggie Shopping”, because we believe that all of you, dear users, can bring very cool information about food, markets and places where you buy your food, shopping tips, shopping seasonal, unique ingredients… so we hope that this activity will remain in force for a long time, in order to get to know each other better and continue learning from each other.
