Happy week my beautiful community 🌿❤️
How are you doing?? Oh really, the Crispy Yummies challenge got me thinking. But uff I came up with something that had a long time that we did not do at home !. TOSTONES!!
However, we also wanted to make some baskets that we have seen on restaurant menus and we think it cannot be that difficult. So we decided to make some green banana baskets with avocado.
So we invented how to make it with a lemon squeezer that my dad brought from Valera. He really did make our day.
So let's go with the recipe:
Banana baskets
Ingredients
3 Green banana
Oil
Salt
Implements
Lemon squeezer
Frying pan
Preparation
Peel the green plantains
Cut it into thick slices
Heat the oil over medium heat
Put the banana slices in the oil until golden brown, turn it over and over and take it out. Be careful that it is not too toasted.
Put the golden bananas in the lemon squeezer and you will carefully crush them if they do not come apart.
Take out the baskets and pass them through oil again and there if you let them brown a little more
Take out of the pan and add salt to taste.
Avocado salad
Ingredients:
1 Avocado
1 Tomato
1 Onion
Parsley
Preparation
Cut the tomato, onion and parsley into small squares and add them to a cup
Then cut the avocado into squares and add to the cup.
Mix well and add salt to taste
Assembling the basket
In a plate serve the baskets, previously drained so that they do not have a lot of oil and add the avocado inside the baskets
Now to enjoy 😀, serve as a starter, as dinner or as snacks ❤️
You can get 20 medium sized banana baskets. if you get a fatter banana you will get bigger baskets
