Sometimes, when you're reading a story, you don't feel like you're being taught. You feel like you're being entertained. Sometimes, you're definitely being taught, and told, rather than shown. The broad concepts and black-mirror-esque tales that Chiang tells in his anthologies, particularly, "Exhalation", is gripping, terrifying, entertaining, and made me contemplate the nature of my own existence more than I care to admit. (Or omit, if you want a Freudian slip)

Unlike Pulang, which centres on the two central characters Dimas Suryo and his only daughter Lintang Utara, Namaku Alam centres on Segara Alam. In the Pulang book, Segara Alam does have its own portion, although not as much as Lintang and Dimas, apparently it invites the reaction of readers (including me) so that in the future the author makes his own book about Segara Alam. And... well... here we are.

Something is going on in the middle of a century that is getting more and more crowded, especially the circumstances around me that I feel are not okay. Do you agree that this world is getting old? There are many things that happen, especially now that many people are increasingly cruel to become something bad in order to get what they want. For that, it seems that humans have lost their integrity.

Today I share with you the review of one of the many books I have had the pleasure of reading. Always from a sincere aspiration that more people enjoy literature, because books give us the possibility to live millions of lives within the only one we have. Living those lives is a way to mock the limitation of time, because we are born to die, but the important thing is what we do with that sigh of life, with that little time we have to enjoy being alive.

Have you ever wondered why William Shakespeare is regarded as the greatest figure in the literary world? William Shakespeare gained prominence during the Elizabethan period, in the 16th century. Even after 500 years, his works continue to be studied at secondary and tertiary levels of education. I'd been hearing his name since my elementary school days. I didn't know who he was, just that there was this person called William Shakespeare who is like a boss in his field. I got to high school and learnt more about him. The first book that I read was the famous tragedy, Othello. Yesterday, I conducted a survey with my friends who aren't book lovers. I asked them this question: Which great literary writer comes to your mind- someone who has written novels, poems, and plays? Out of ten friends, 9 named William Shakespeare, while the last person mentioned Geoffery Chaucer (this surprised me.)

Never in her five years of life had Lassie been alone, never had she hunted animals for food, never had she known the cruelty of humans, never had she known that she could get sick, let alone fight others of her own kind or be shot by bullets. All of these terrifying experiences Lassie experienced on her return home. During the journey, she also met the kindness of strangers who fed, sheltered, cared for and cared for her. Lassie was, in fact, very grateful to these people, who, although they felt a deep love for her and wanted her to stay, knew instinctively that she had a purpose in life and let her go.

The story is coming to an end. The companies and kingdoms unite in a common goal, which is to defeat Sauron and all those who follow him. Gandalf and Pippin go to Minas Tirith to speak with Denethor. King Théoden heads to Helm's Deep. Then, together with Aragorn, Gimli, Legolas, Merry, Elladan, Elrohir and the Dúnedain, they go to Gondor, although in two groups. Along the way, Aragorn, Isildur's heir, calls on all those who can help in the war.

As a reader, I believe the first opinion on a book is in its cover design. The cover design of a book tells the story before the reader gets to open the book and that design is an author's first marketer. A book with the least attractive cover will be the least attractive for me to read. A book with an intriguing design for it's cover will peek my interest even before the title does.Having finished the last book I was reading, there was this odd book in my collections. Among the plenty dark book designs I held, there was one that stood out. Very different from the others in it's circle. That "one" is titled Only for the Week.

What is Hive Book Club?

Hive Book Club is a community made by book lovers, for book lovers. A place where the chaotic minds of writers may punch away words from their keyboards as they share their writing adventures. Where passionate book collectors may rummage through their stacks of books to share and review their latest additions. Outside of our regular curation process, we may create contests for our community to participate in, and earn even more from their posts. If you have a certain theme for a future contest you would like to see, let us know! Be sure to check with us frequently on our various social media platforms to avoid missing out!

How Do We Choose The Highlighted Posts?

For those of you curious as to how you may have been chosen or would like to be chosen in the future in one of these compilations: we scan through the community and read the many posts that the community members write. We then select four or five posts that we believe meet certain criteria and are worthy of sharing with the rest of the community. We aim to keep these selections diverse in style, from writing skills or subject matter.

Hence, throughout the week, the moderators will check the community and manually handpick the posts. Some factors include the post subject, post quality, engagement, personal voice, and general effort. If we choose you, or you happen to stumble across these highlights, please do check out the other posts we feature, and contribute to their curation and engagement!
