Érase una vez un burro sin dientes, feo, pero valiente, que vivía en una zona inexplorada por el hombre, lo habían liberado por su edad y él escogió reunirse con la fauna silvestre, allí había animales de todas las especies; el asno siempre juguetón y colaborador con todos, era el más solicitado entre los pobladores de aquella inmensa cordillera rodeada de vastos llanos, con sus pastos tan verdes y lirios en flor por doquier.
Cierto día, cuando todos pastaban tranquilos y confiados cerca del riachuelo, oyeron los ladridos de una jauría de perros que se dirigía amenazante hacia ellos; de momento se quedaron inmóviles con sus oídos atentos; las mamás de cada especie, pide a sus crías huir y esconderse, luego los adultos también emprendieron la fuga en procura de salvar sus vidas, pero la mamá venada tenía dos crías muy pequeñas, que no supieron entender la orden materna, por lo que ella se quedó para no dejar a sus pequeños en riesgo.
El burro en plena carrera hacia la montaña, miró para atrás y vio a la venada protegiendo a su crías con su cuerpo, porque venía la manada de canes hambrientos hacia ellos; el aguerrido asno frenó y se devolvió a defender a aquellos indefensos cuadrúpedos, se plantó frente a los agresivos perros y comenzó a soltar patadas; cada vez que les pegaba, los perros salían llorando y huían adoloridos, pero también lograron en ocasiones clavar sus afilados colmillos en sus extremidades; no obstante, el valiente burro evitó que se comieran a los pequeños cervatillos.
Después de librar esa épica batalla, la mamá venada fue hacia el valiente héroe y lo vio herido con feas mordidas en sus patas; ya en calma, todos se reunieron de nuevo y al ver sus heridas, el mono se ofreció a ayudar para curarlas y salió con el resto de monos a buscar hierbas para cortar la infección y evitar la gangrena: de ese modo colaboraron para la recuperación del valiente asno y éste pronto superó la crisis, para felicidad y satisfacción de todos.

After fighting that epic battle, the mother deer went to the brave hero and saw him wounded with ugly bites on his legs, once calm, everyone gathered again and upon seeing his wounds, the monkey offered to help heal them and went out with the rest of the monkeys to look for herbs to cut the infection and avoid gangrene in this way they collaborated for the recovery of the brave donkey and he soon overcame the crisis, to the happiness and satisfaction of all.
