I was so pleased to see this contest, I came across this contest while checking out @dodovietnam blog and it's been organized by @galenkp I visited Mini Siam Pattaya in Chonburi, Thailand about a month ago and remember taking many photos that will fit in with this contest, if you like shadows and reflections this would be the ideal place to visit on a sunny day, this 12 acre park with all it's man made lakes, ponds and about 100 miniature replica scaled models of all the famous landmarks and historically buildings from Thailand, Europe, and the Western countries you will find here neatly placed around this huge 12 acre manicured park, you can visit and see the world all in one day right here in this park, instead of spending months of traveling around the world.
We will start of with this icon Memorial Bridge, which was built in 1929 across the main river of Bangkok city called the Chao Phraya River to connect commuters from the Thon Buri province to Bangkok city. This Bascule bridge type bridge opened in 1932 and the distance across the bridge is 678 meters.
As I was walking around this massive park, I was been fascinated by the amount of different reflections staring me in the face, I honestly did not know which one to look at next or photograph, I have a love and a passion for reflections, I must admit as a kid reflections use to scare me at first when, I use to look down at a puddle of water and see that perfect image of myself in that puddle of water, I would stand there frozen wondering there is two of us how can that be possible, it would sent me bananas my mom had never explained to me about reflections, I had nightmares before she explained it to me.
This next icon is a well known all around the world our famous Sydney Opera House our multi-venue performing center that sits in our beautiful Sydney Harbour, it was one of the greatest architectural work of the 20th century known as one of the 7 Wonders of the World.
This here is a museum that stands in the middle of a man made lake at the King Rama IX Royal Park in Bangkok and in this museum is displayed all the history of what King IX of Thailand has done for his people.
Another one of the many icon bridges in Thailand, this one is the Rama IX Bridge that also crosses over the mighty Chao Phraya River in Bangkok. A beautiful fan cable suspension bridge built for King IX of Thailand for his birthday and opened on his birth date 5th December in 1987.
Some shadows and reflections of the lovely manicured gardens and flowers from around the Mini Siam Park.
The Chateau de Chenonceau castle in France, served as a military hospital from 1914 to 1918 and played an even bigger role in WWII and today it is owned by the Nestle company a two story building with 260 rooms almost one room for each day of the year.
And let me finish of with this beautiful Gazebo full of lovely surrounding shadows, I saw this on my way home by the beach and just had to stop, to catch a cool breeze and a cool smoothie by the ocean after that long walk through the miniature park, I needed a chill out time.
